Not many survive an encounter.
They reckon there is over 100 thousand of them in the NT alone. Far, far too many.
There was a story around a decade back up near me where a young local bloke was at the pub chatting up some tourist chicks. He managed to score with one of them and while walking back to his joint along the beach, was trying to scare her about croc encounters to big dick himself. She was freaked out and told him to get away from the edge of the water. This made the show off in him come out and he ripped his shirt off and jumped into a creek that fed into the ocean. She said as soon as he hit the water, it exploded with splashing and screaming. She thought he was being a smartarse then saw the tail.
Luckily it wasn’t a huge one and he got away. Lost his right leg to the knee and his left arm to the shoulder after surgery. This was in a little creek at the edge of a playground/park in waist deep water. There were heaps of people around and it was well lit. Lots of noise from the tourist strip nearby that has open air pubs and nightclubs.
I hate the bloody things.
They are emboldened by protection laws and are actively stalking human prey because it’s easier. When it floods up here, the bastards end up everywhere.
Gin used to be called "Mother's Ruin" now there is a WT labelled brand it should be called "Whole Family Ruined"

My 1947 Freddo will need an upper or 2 very soon the way it's performing.
A German female referee gave a Red Card to Turkish player, Karim Demirbay. Player told her "You should stick to the kitchen". The referee wrote that in her report & FIFA suspended him for 5 matches & as part of his suspension, he'll officiate one women football match too.
