After a long career with Malaysia Airlines, a veteran pilot made an unusual decision he moved to AirAsia so he could fly alongside his daughters, who were also pilots.
Instead of quietly stepping into retirement, he chose to continue his career in a way that brought his family together in the cockpit.
In an industry often defined by long distances and demanding schedules, the decision turned a professional transition into a meaningful family milestone a story of pride, legacy, and a father who wanted to share the skies with the next generation.

Ok, come closer as I mount my soap box.
I’ve just read another article about one of my real pet hates.
It seems, unfortunately, that an Aussie woman has had a motor bike accident in Bali and has been badly injured . This, of course, seems to a regular occurrence over there and I wish her well.
But of course it leads to the inevitable Go Fund demand for cash to bring her home. No mention of travel insurance, just another case of I’m travelling and if something goes wrong I’ll (!or my family/friends) will hold out their hand for public funding. It really pisses me off.
I’ve travelled extensively to many countries, including about 10 trips to Bali, but not once have I ever left Australia without comprehensive travel insurance so I can take care of myself and/ or family if necessary.
I’m advocating compulsory travel insurance with each ticket - anywhere - or no sale. If you can’t afford the insurance you can’t afford the holiday.
I’m sure there’s plenty on here who will disagree but I don’t care, I think it’s become a joke, and imo a disgrace.
