That's not as outrageous as some might take it. Reduce the scope of the comp as best fits circumstances and whoever can play will play. Even if they go to a pickup style comp. At least the boys will stay match fit and have some motivation to keep playing while undoubtedly on a reduced pay. If the NRL has any nouse they will work on something.
Or is this a pipedream?
