Nrl all star game

Ferguson was impressive. Since he was in the indigenous squad, he has to be at least available for Australian selection. I would think one of his grandparents would have to be indigenous to gain entry into the side Saturday night.

Blake should at least shine in that Sharks back line.

Benji was rubbish…..still scored a try.......

Farah was heaps better....he got held up...Lol..

Stand out...Michael Jennings....

3\. Jennings
4\. Lawrence......for Origin....If NSW selectors dont pick them....... they're morons......Oh wait...

Add Blake Ferguson to that backline.. or is he a kiwi? He's certainly got the goods either way.

Yeah good call…... Izzi was away for the prize........I thought Ferguson was a Kiwi...

He might have indigenous heritage yeah, but I'm pretty sure he was born in Auckland or Wellington and lived there for much of his life.. could be wrong though, and most likely am.

Back to Benji, the unlimited interchange and being stuck on the left side of the field would have hurt his game.

I don't really see the point of having this as an event every year. I like to have a game where I can choose who to support. NRL games mean a lot to me because I can cheer on the Wests Tigers. SOO means a lot to me because I can cheer on NSW. Who am I supposed to cheer on here?

Opinions on Farah and Benji's performance.

Shocking….and that was the opinion of all i know who watched the game. Hopefully thats due to being around people who you dont normally play with.....as opposed to being a true representation of where they are at for 2010.

I have to say I was very disappointed in the whole feel and attiude of this match. It should in my opinion with the season looming and injuries a big problem and exebition game as they do inthe States with Baseball and NBA.

What is the point in going hell for leather for a meaningless match which now could see several players missing the season. In the Baseball they have the Home Run Derby and then the game and basically treat the players and fans to something different. The Basketball i don;t follow but i understand they do a similar thing. So why not have a a kicking comp or skills comp as fun and then fisnish with a game that is played for a show of skill and not a allin bash up.

Just glad Robbie and Benji have come out unscathed but would be pisse doff to be a Broncos or Newcastle fan right now.

The match was always going to be played with plenty of passion and big hits IMO. It might be a meaningless match to you but to a lot of indigenous people would see this match as a big deal. And Im sure that the indigenous team are not going to want to let there people down. I think it is a great concept and a great way to start the season. As someone else said there football players and they cant be wrapped in wool.

A pre-season 7's or 10's comp would be much better than this game. You could still have an aboriginal dream team to boot! What I'd really like to see though is the NRL to set-up a seperate pre or post season 7's league kind of like an IPL set-up.

We could have a Sevens tournament and then 2 trials, instead of just having 3 trials. Have the Aboriginal Allstars match on the Friday night, and then the Sevens tournament on the weekend. Then the next 2 weeks have the 2 trials. Then the proper season starts the week after. They would need to get a good sponsor for the Sevens tounament though so the winner gets good prizemoney otherwise they wouldn't risk playing their best players.

well said the opportunity for the indigenous community to share some passion and being that one of the biggest cultural event held annually in NSW is the Koori knockout and they play there own mobs and still go hard coz they r warriors

I just saw on NRL on Fox that Kevin McGuiness was the first one to use the corner post as a didgeridoo celebration after scoring a try. It was when he played for Wests Tigers in 2003 I think it was.
