The channel nine call last night hit rock bottom. They were riding the Chooks all night and barely gave the Raiders any credit at all. At full time Fitler did not even talk about the Raiders and told us how gallant the Chooks were. Got so bad I switched over to the AFL for a break.

I wonder who they will ride now. Be nice to have some quality like Andrew Moore doing the call

I was trying to find my way through the bias, thinking I'd missed something. But no, that commentary was pretty bad.. Could clearly see who channel 9 wanted to win. Glad it didn't go to script in the end! Now to get the Eels beat tonight..

Flannagan is not comfortable in that team and it will be interesting to see what the Roosters do about it. They are not a club known for being patient with players in key positions and there are not many great halves available for them to target.

They'll poach Brooks, half of our supporters will be ecstatic, and then he'll become the next Cooper Cronk.

It was really only Freddie pushing Roosters wheelbarrow I thought. It was a bit much, I could sense panic in his commentary when they were down 16-0. If Gus was there it would’ve been far worse! However, I felt most of the others were fair and, Johns, Sterlo, Erin and Ruan Simms were praising the Raiders a lot in the wash up at the end.

Johns was helping Freddie push the wheel barrow. Said it a few weeks ago, Freddie has gone from a real likeable bloke who basically only gave out praise and very seldom bagged anyone to this really biased, negative bloke with a chip on his shoulder. Of course it could be all scripted in hope of getting better ratings..would never trust channel nine with anything

It’s acknowledged by just about every expert and fan out there that Tedesco is, if not the best player in the world, at least in the top 3.
Paps is a looooong way off his class and relies on sheer speed for most of his highlight reel.

It's the elephant in the room but the boys club commentary team don't want to throw Tedesco under the bus. Papenhuyen is very Slater like in his play, Slater being the best fullback by far I've seen since Garry Jack. And watch Papenbuyzen's game again, it is more rounded than Tedesco's, no doubt because of Slater's coaching.

Tedesco almost singlehandedly pulled that match back from the dead last night- he was in everything.

Walker won't be ready and Lam hasn't established himself. It will be interesting to see who the Roosters target.

Yeah I saw that. Definitely intentional and trying to injure. I wasn't listening to the commentary so don't know what they said about it if anything, but an action like that for mine should be punished at the judiciary. I doubt it will, I just think it should be.

Mate any commentator of any substance would have given Ricky’s mob a big wrap than moved onto the Chooks and given them a big wrap for what they have achieved over the past few years.
It’s just bad form by Freddie but do you expect anything different from the nine team
