NRL Finals Wk 2 *Spoilers

Interesting to read Bennett saying he didn't flog his players in the COVID break as he wanted them fresh for the end of the year. Parra definitely fell away.

I wonder if this also explains our teams end of season defensive plummet.

They almost remind me of a side about 15 years ago

If only that grub had something to cry about

Oh sorry I guess spectators have the right to cry too

But considering he gets to watch from the same view as the ref but without any pressure or responsibility he shouldn't complain

I feel so much more intense dislike for Matterson than Moses. Moses embarrassed himself in his behaviour but Matterson went after the club, coach and his team mates of the time. Don't care how many positive stories are written about him cant stand the sight of him and hope he never sees a premiership.

I agree. My sense is he has always been a destabilsing influence in clubs due to his arrogance and petulance.

Parra let him walk to the Rorters, the Rorters let him join WT and he left us after deciding Parra would be his place to win premiership glory. Well, guess what? It hasn't worked.

And, why? Because of, among other things, Ryan Matterson and his frailties as a person and footballer. His ego writes cheques his talent, effort and commitment can't cash.

2020 was their chance, and they blew it, again. I don't see how they improve in 2021.

Getting Fergusion and Sivo back will certainly make a difference at this point next year.

Thats true - but i don't think Moses and Brown as halves combination have the temperament to win big games. I know Brown has been out for a while but he just didn't look up to it. Made a mistake every time he was pressured and he was a turnstile in defence. And Moses just loses it too easily when things go against him. You can't question his passion but his emotions take over when things start getting tough.

I said in another thread that Brown is young and last night is potentially a game he can learn and grow from, Moses though will have difficulty getting over that game.

Brown is still a developing player..30 odd games he has heaps of improvement yet
