There seems to be a foul smell wafting out of Parramatta at the moment regarding its off contract players whom are seemly wanting out of the place…

For me this is another example that News Corps has some kind of fixation/agenda against the WestsTigers brand. Guaranteed if this was happening at our club the media would be all over us like a rash with there disparaging/derogatory reporting.

When you’re at the bottom everyone wants to put the boot in because they know you can’t put egg on their face with on field performance. A few of the media guys are actually Tigers fans as well so they are just as irritated as the fans.

Paul Kent played lower grade for Parra and is really one eyed supporter, so he or his cronies aren’t going to say anything detrimental against his club, even if it’s true.

That's just not true though. Parramatta have the highest amount of members in the NRL and a really passionate supporter base, as many Sydney clubs do.

We get targeted because of consistently poor performances over a long period of time matched with an administration that are perceived to be numpties.

That's a bit generous, I'd say we deserve 45% of the crap written about us. First 45% is because of our constant lack of success, second 45% is News Ltd just repeating themselves.

Yeah but that was more than a decade now. Parramatta have had higher membership numbers than us for many years. But I agree with you that we are a joke. I think we deserve the flak we cop.

Not sure of the year, but when Sheens was coaching he refused to talk to certain media groups, I think the DT was the main one on the black list. Since than it’s been revenge, but of course we don’t help our self with a basket case of people running the show

We have a big fanbase, and thus drive a lot of interest and engagement. There's definitely a lot of nonsense written about the club, but the same is true for each and every club - it's a gossip-driven eco-system where facts often come last. I guess this is partly a result of the product being so closely linked with News Ltd for so long.
When you consider that we're also run poorly and perform poorly on the field, then it's no surprise that the club is constantly in the news.

Keep in mind that it's also a deliberate tactic of the club as well - WT definitely brief certain journos when they want to get a story out.

WT made the call to blacklist DT years ago which is subsequently fox and nrl360 and back SMH which nobody reads or cares about

we backed the wrong horse years ago, we need to push the DT relationship again mend some bridges provide some access and slip some stories that is reality
