NRL MEDIA YOU CANT STAND

I’ll start it off . Charlie from MMM. I can’t stand that guy. Rich kid from the eastern beaches , gets a job at MMM because his parents run the joint , gets promoted because his parents run the joint , and now speaks as if he’s a bastion of NRL knowledge . He’s a nepo baby dweeb , who’s nrl thoughts start from the shit coming out of James Grahams arsehole all the way to feeding off on Ricchio leftovers from Isaac Moses . He is the epitome of bottom feeder when it comes to nrl journalism . Shits me !
He’s literally the reason I don’t listen to MMM anymore .
By the sounds of that description I’m glad I’ve never heard of him! Lol

This was my first year watching everything on Kayo. I didn’t mind the NRL shows or most of the commentary throughout the season though they can certainly go over the same issue ad nauseum night after night. I thought Gould was bad! Lol.

I probably won’t renew the subscription next season. Too much money and I’m not really sure how interested I’ll be for 2027. The game with all its changes and bias is rapidly losing me.

One thing I won’t miss is the constant Roosters love fest in both the men’s and women’s games commentary. Honestly, sometimes I just wanted to vomit, especially when JWH, Keary & Cronk we’re all on together. I get it, you all think the Roosters are the best thing since sliced bread! 🤮

Right wondered where he appeared from! Charlie seems to have a thing against Benji too. He always reminds his podcasters how Benji never returned his Triple M carpark pass to him when he left. Who are his parents?

Voss tends to make jokes all the time during commentary and misses things in the game due to waffling on about a dumb irrelevant stat. He has surpassed Ginnane for me.

Corey Parker is simply a whingeing tosser cant stand him on sen.

James Graham is horrendous to listen to and incredibly biased

I'm NZ based so don't listen to MMM - but Charlie seemed ok to me when I used to tune into The Bye Round every now and then.

But the more and more eps past he did seem to get a bit of an ego. Haven't listened/watched that podcast in a while though. James Graham was a good listen once upon a time, now it's mostly biased/ridiculous takes from him.

Not many NRL media personalities I particularly like listening to. Braith would be up there as the better one, and I miss having Iken on TV. I quite like Justin Horo, but haven't tuned in to any of his stuff recently.

The bye round was good when it started. James Graham's CTE must have kicked into full gear at some point cause it feels like his takes went off the deep end.

I can honestly say I don’t watch/listen to any RL media. I only go off what people complain about online. Most of the time I have music or a podcast playing over games because I find the commentary that abhorrent as well.

Any media that goes to far with the Tigers criticism, they can all go suck a dozen lemons.
3 x Finals in 27 seasons - most of which 50% of teams or better made the 8.
We make it pretty easy for them.

We love the club and take them to task more often than not, but take offence people who are in the game when they do they same.

It’s not fun to listen to,
but they’re largely not wrong.

As much of a dick as Brandon Smith is, what he said about us is a window into what the majority of players must think of us Unlikely the outlier opinion just happens to be on a podcast.

Joel Caine also, he doesn't come across as authentic to me. He doesn't have much nice to say about us either.
One of the better ones around - good head for the game.
Loves the club - he’s just as disappointed and embarrassed as the majority of us is all.
Can’t blame him.

If you are in the media, what good is there to say about a club with the finals record we have. The fact we look like a good side in March and April shouldn’t give us a pass for horrendously we fall off the pace every year. As I’ve said a couple of times, when we was the last time we finished a year strong? 2011 is my guess. Every year by round 17 and 18 we start looking at next year. How do you expect the media to put a positive spin on that?

10000000000%!!!!!

I hate James Graham with a passion. Rude, arrogant, obtrusive and down right dumb. He is wrong in 90% of the dribble that comes our of his mouth. Wont let other people talk, and makes fun and belittles people that clearly are more intelligent than him.
Yeah, who'd want that pommy git chewing on your ear. 🤣

It’s funny, we’re going well at the start of the year - all the media are riding us home every week like Shane Dye on a winner and everyone is getting swept up in the hype and feeling the love.

We go to shit, they call us out and they’re all pricks again 😂😂😂

There aren’t many commentators that I like, because that’s exactly what they are. They aren’t journalists, they’re just ex-players with an opinion, trying to hold onto a job in the media.

However, I did like the Off The Record podcast with Buzz and Webby. Whilst it finished last year with Buzz’s retirement, their insights and old player and coach stories were great.

Andrew Webster is a highly respected journalist, having worked for the Sydney Morning Herald, The Daily Telegraph and The Australian.

Love him or loathe him, Buzz had a 50-year career at The Daily Telegraph and broke some huge stories over the years.

If I had to pick one commentator that I find it difficult to listen to, it would have to be Aaron Woods.
