Triple M's Supergrass has another big rumour.

An NRL player is under investigation for placing bets on his own 40/20 kicks, Supergrass told the Grill Team.

According to the Supergrass, he's amongst the game's top earners

No 40/20s will be kicked.

Pretty sure it is Sandow.

Looks like it! Mole said its someone on 550k, which Sandow is. And he was going for a rediculous amount of 40/20s at the start of the season!

Its gotta be Sandow. Earlier in the week it was reported he had gambling issues. He has also kicked a few 40/20s this year and is one of the game's highest paid players.

Seeing that Benji either kicks out on the full or straight down he fullbacks throat , Robbies seems like he could only get one downwind

Rules the Tigers out

Carneys pretty prolific with the 40-20s and doesn't mind the punt …....

If it is Sandow could it be the reason he was dropped to reggies?

Just on a side note, is a player backing his team to win such a big issue? Aside from straight win bets I do have an issue with players betting on games, but if I found out one of our boys had money on the side to win I wouldn't be bothered at all by it.

I think the issue is putting on a straight bet to win is not very far away at all from putting on a straight bet to lose (by betting for the other team). And it's easier to deliberately lose than deliberately win.

Putting a bet on yourself to win is very different in my opinion, you go out there to win the game, which is what you're paid to do. I guess a blanket ban on betting is easier to understand for the players than banning certain betting.

As for the issue, I work at a TAB and any Swans player could walk in and put a bet on them to lose without me knowing who they are. I've worked with people who wouldn't know it if Greg Inglis, Billy Slater or Jarryd Hayne were to put a bet on themselves to lose, because they don't follow the sport. Unless someone else in the shop recognises you it is something you could easily get away with, especially late at night midweek when there is nobody around.

On a not so un-related note, i read tonight Peter Wallace was on the verge of signing a 3 yr contract with Parra. He'd really fit in.

Stick to the nags boys ,pass on the footy

I want to know that games are clean at least on one stage ,it's to bad enough we don't know what players are on the drugs ,what teams are over the cap

At least if we know that blokes are going to show and try and perform to the best of their abilities week in week out
