Watching this ridiculously boring game of footy just proves there is no way there should be expansion without a draft. The quality of players is just not available.

It's not that the quality of players aren't available. It's just that most of the high quality players have been herded into a select few teams (Roosters, Rabbits, Melbourne, etc) while the other teams feed off scraps. And when those other teams do somehow discover a star player they're almost immediately poached

NRL needs to sort out the cap system and ensure an even distribution of talent before even thinking about expansion

The Raiders are a quality team no weaknesses in any area.

Care to update that?

Played witj14 men for 3/4 of the game and with a player with a broken rib and were courageous to the end - despite adversity that was seen by all. Great side.

Dogs have the worst pack in the comp and have thrown nearly all of their money at backs. That never works

My thoughts exactly! No point having a backline of marquee players if you don’t have the forwards to back it up

Some try by isaako

He’s quite good

Wasn’t he on the outer? Or am I thinking of someone else. I’d love if we could get him

Pretty correct.

In this generation of "I want everything now" the young 'stars' are looking for premiership potential and are happy to throw any sort of club loyalty out the window.

If their managers can prostitute them into a higher wage that's even better but I think some feel a lower wage in a stronger team pays long term dividends. There's the chance of rep footy (and the extra cash that brings) and possibly a bigger pay day down the track if they have a premiership ring and a higher profile.

It's not good for the game having such a divide between the haves and the have nots.

He was last year, but that was super coach seibold doing that. I've always liked him as a player

If I could’ve upvoted this post 10 times I would have.

Flanagan is so average. Dogs forward pack is woeful, gonna have a star studded backline next year who will barely score points.

Love nothing better than seeing this Bulldog rabble go about there business. Fans were like wel make top 8 this year. Fair dinkum how naive were they. Even next year with Burton and addo carr, they still have not one decent forward.

One thing you can say about us is that we do have a decent pack. Its our backline that needs tinkering
