I don't remember such a bunch of teams playing so badly in my life... Manly, Dogs, Broncos, Cowboys. I can't work out why, given that nobody (to my knowledge) was tipping them to be flogged so regularly, leading into the season start. How has it got to this?


3 of those teams have new coaches and Manly has lost players. I don’t understand how the best attack coach in the nrl (not my words) can’t get his team to score a single point in 3 games? Set themselves up for 40mt 2 pointers? Anything? They’re lining up their duck eggs!

Yep, it seems we can add Barrett and Payton to the list of "capable assistant coach who became failed head coach". Would join the likes of Taylor, Kearney, Young, Kidwell, Cartwright, Seibold ...... The list is growing!

Were they too hasty to establish their marque? They’re both smart guys with solid nrl background. I thought they would do better?

Yeah he seems really happy over there which I’m glad about , he’s a top bloke, just hope his stint over there doesn’t end up like how it did with us

Sharks have been playing above half decent..

Yep, and I tipped them to run last in the NRL this year. I'm a great judge!! I should just forget tipping comps and donate my money to charity.

I watched a sharks try from a backline move with a decoy running an inside line creating space for the winger to score in the corner. Had to check the bbq, came back to the screen moments later to watch the exact same backline move. I thought it was a replay until I realised the try scoring winger was a different player. I think that’s what we’ve been missing , that simple structural play which all players know. It improved in round 3, so here’s hoping the improvement continues.

I think we should look a a trade deal with the Cowboys
Mbye for Holmes
But only if he accepts a wing position
A straight trade for this year and next
No money to change hands
If Holmes excels we could extend his contract
He gets back to Sydney and we get experience and speed on the wing

Holmes went to the cowgirls so he could be back in QLD and a chance to play fullback , why would he come back to Sydney to play on the wing ?????
