Did anyone else just then see the absolute contempt on Todd Paytens face , with Craig Bellamys address to Warriors players. I know Todd’s a tigers great ... but is “Todd a baddie ?

It was so noticeable, it look like he was disgusted with what Bellamy was saying.

What do you reckon Smith and Bellamy were saying? Asking them to stay in Aus?

I'd guess it was a hang in there type of speech, in most dressing sheds the teams own coach would be standing there right next to them. It was one of the strangest things I have ever seen and I would guess it has hurt his coaching career.

Would've loved one of the Warriors to stand up and belt Cammy or Bellamy whilst they were dribbling garbage front and centre.

Writing Saab off after one bad read. Nofa has been doing that for years and he’s a fan favourite ? kids got talent no doubt but he obviously
Has stuff to work on

It's been 3 this game..if Morris was 4m back Rorters under sticks..

He’s a kid. Clearly needs to be taught to slide across in defence but let’s not say he’s rubbish because of one issue is all

If he hasn’t learnt by now he’ll never learn

Nofo is a prime example...

Slide .......!

He’s played 4 games of first grade under a rubbish coach.

We need seasoned pros not 4 game nuffies ..
Sick to death of buying crap and hoping they’ll come good ..
Let him be someone else’s future prospect .

This is exactly what needs to happen ,to much talk on this site about young hopefuls that are cheap . This is the only one way this club will move to the next level and that is signing proven seasoned players ,if not this club will just be making up the numbers!!

Hard to sign experienced high level players when your club hasn’t made finals in forever and half your cap is wasted on duds. Madge’s only option is to sign young guys who can hopefully turn into stars in the future. Gotta make finals and do well this year to have a better chance of signing a rep player

9 Just said three Warrior players have announced that they want to leave and go back to their families in New Zealand

Why don't we look at this from another perspective for a moment....
The Warriors had a week from hell, losing their coach, staying and playing for the benefit of the game and most of all being so far from their families while going through a stressful time...
Maybe Bellamy gave them a speech thanking them for turning up or gave them encouragement along the lines of keep turning up,support each other and Todd, and try and turn things around..he could of said you are a good side don't give up....I really wouldn't have a clue what he said, but I would bet he didn't belittle them but praised them...

Maybe he was there to support and encourage Todd seeing Todd is a rookie coach and Bellamy is a seasoned coach...

Sorry my post wasn't clear, I don't think he was belittling them, I think he was encouraging them. What was strange was the fact that Todd was sitting over to the side looking like he wanted to be any other place in the world, it was strange to see from a guy in his position.

You probably are right, but also it was Todds first game as Warriors coach and he got belted, maybe Bellamy realised that he would be pretty low on morale and went into encourage the team and Todd...maybe why Todd had a look of despair on him, being beaten so well on your first game, however its no disgrace when you come up against a very strong Melb team.

No its not disgrace, what is disappointing to see though is the guy that is meant to be guiding you sitting in the corner looking disinterested and disrespectful. Look at the respect on all the players faces and then look at Todd's reaction. It speaks volumes and if there were any clubs out there looking at potentially hiring him, it would be something that sticks in the mind.

I've spent plenty of time in oppositions sheds over the years, though usually not after such a one sided game.

Hobbs, put the hate glasses aside and look at it from a sportsmanship point of view...
Bellamy knew it was Todds first game as coach and probably as a seasoned coach wanted to go in there and encourage him and the team for at least turning up and trying, albeit the Melb side are a top quality team,I give Bellamy credit for showing appreciation to a side whose morale and intestinal fortitude was depleted..

Bellamy is a cheating fraud ...
He don’t give a crap about the Warriors..
Probably told them to hang in there so the Storm can get another 2 competition points down the track .
Warriors players shoulda frog marched Cammy out the door and put Bellamys head through the plasterboard.

Hoping Robinson does it to the Storm the next time they give them toweling. God that would be funny.

This will seriously test the roosters depth. They are going to have to call on blokes like Tedesco, origin players and blokes that have only played test football for the lower tier nations like Lebanon, Samoa, Tonga, England and New Zealand.

Yes - i had to turn the commentary of the game off. It was sickening listening to them whining about how the chooks season and third straight title is in jeopardy and how are they going to cover these injuries. Pitiful. Absolute joke. Losing Radley is a big loss but Verrils - please - the guy has played 100 minutes over 5 games and wow they will have to cover him with a rookie like Jake Friend.

Payten trying to get the Warriors players to go home. Perfect ploy, ends the NRL season so he gets no further losses and extends his career

Let them go - a forfeit each week and for TV they could have a combined Canterbury Cup side play in their place. I'm sure they would put up a better effort.
