Did anyone else just then see the absolute contempt on Todd Paytens face , with Craig Bellamys address to Warriors players. I know Todd’s a tigers great ... but is “Todd a baddie ?

It was so noticeable, it look like he was disgusted with what Bellamy was saying.

What do you reckon Smith and Bellamy were saying? Asking them to stay in Aus?

I'd guess it was a hang in there type of speech, in most dressing sheds the teams own coach would be standing there right next to them. It was one of the strangest things I have ever seen and I would guess it has hurt his coaching career.

Why don't we look at this from another perspective for a moment....
The Warriors had a week from hell, losing their coach,staying and playing for the benefit of the game and most of all being so far from their families while going through a stressful time...
Maybe Bellamy gave them a speech thanking them for turning up or gave them encouragement along the lines of keep turning up,support each other and Todd,and try and turn things around..he could of said you are a good side don't give up....I really wouldn't have a clue what he said,but I would bet he didn't belittle them but praised them...

Sorry my post wasn't clear, I don't think he was belittling them, I think he was encouraging them. What was strange was the fact that Todd was sitting over to the side looking like he wanted to be any other place in the world, it was strange to see from a guy in his position.

You probably are right,but also it was Todds first game as Warriors coach and he got belted,maybe Bellamy realised that he would be pretty low on morale and went into encourage the team and Todd...maybe why Todd had a look of despair on him,being beaten so well on your first game,however its no disgrace when you come up against a very strong Melb team.

If it was about the result that would be arrogance in the extreme.... I'm sure it was more about the Warriors sacrifice during covid crap
