NRL Rd 8 *Spoilers

Inglis played his first game in super league this morning. If my memory is correct , wasn’t he medically retired by the NRL. Wasnt sam burgess also medically retired yet seriously considered coming back to play again. That makes such a mockery of the NRL and shows it was only done to benefit our good friends the rabbits so they could buy players like latrell, arrow.


I think Ingliss retired on mental health grounds - he wasn't medically retired but the NRL still gave souffs dispensation for him quitting. Burgess was a bigger joke - as he was medically retired and souffs given dispensation even though his injury was long term and didn't meet the rule for medical retirement.

Correct think GI forfeited his contract money as he quit (but took a small role with Souths and nrl).

Burgess I agree was a bigger joke , he got medically retired for a injury that happened earlier in the year but he and Souths were fine with him to play in the semi finals

Sucks for Brett Morris, seems like a good guy.
No sorrow here for the Roosters though, surely they'll get dispensation of some sort of the other to bring in someone else.....loan Mika Sivo, transport Semi Radradra from wherever he is? C'mon NRL HQ, help the Roosters out for a change dammit.

6 games so far this weekend with an average 19+ points differential.That is certainly not what the new rules should be delivering.The public wants to see closer finishes to a game not slaughters

They may as well bring back the top 5 because the rest don’t stand a chance

Tough as nails yes, but surely when the green whistle has come out you don’t need to walk it off for 150m. The trainer should be overruling him.

I reckon Morris knew and wanted to end his career on his feet.

Be careful CT, you are missing the point. I dont think there is any doubt that Walker is close to the best in the comp.....do you really want to use TA's to assess halves?

Using your maths you just said Brooks is the third best half in the comp.

a lot of people need to be careful when heaping praise on Walker.....Tim Smith had an unbelieveable rookie season then what happened to him? couldn't live up to the hype

Remember tigers said they've have a members player of the year and members would vote on it? Have people been getting emails about that? I can't remember seeing anywhere to do it once all year. Maybe I'm just not high enough paying member?

Just checked inbox but all I ever get from them is, "buy tickets to the next game and get stuffed around something severe by those morons at Ticketek" or "buy this weeks latest release jersey."
