NRL Round 13 *spoilers*

The Broncos are on a collision course with the spoon. The Dogs have become a gritty side since Georgey took over. They are in every contest, and should jag at least 2, maybe 3 more wins before the season is out. I can’t see the Broncos winning again this year. And it all comes down to the coach. He makes JT look like Craig Bellamy. One of the most unlikeable characters in the game. So much arrogance and none of it warranted. They are a top 4 side with a decent coach. That pack is too good on paper. He should be strung up how badly he’s run them into the ground and caused their number 1 player to walk out.

Hopefully the Bulldogs find a few more wins (not against WT) and leave the spoon for the donkeys

If ever a coach has deserved it, it’s this one.

Souths have only lost the penalty count 3 times this year of 13 games and that was by a very small margin... If we had a leg up in games like them we would be in the top 4...

Souths are the 4th most penalised team so far this year, Broncos the most and Wests Tigers 6th! - Go figure. I think it’s the 6 agains that make all the difference. There are no stats on them and they’re just as good as a penalty, maybe moreso.

Haha... There you go.
Don't let the truth etc etc....perception is everything

I find it hard to believe the Broncos pack got made to look soft by the Rabbits
On paper they have a great forward pack
It seems they have lost all interest for playing for the win
There is no agression in their running at all
Is it the new speed of the game that is taking its toll on the fitness of the big broncos forwards
Or has Seibold lost the dressing room

Seibold has ruined them. So many talented players there. When a guy can take a tap 10 metres out run forward and score you can tell they don’t really want to be there.

If they're leading the comp in 6-agains though it goes a long way to making penalties conceded irrelevant. From a neutral observer in all of their games except vs WT, they get a hell of the rub of the green in many, many games.
Things like clear missed knock-ons (Cameron Murray last night) also make up a huge amount of momentum in which direction a match is steered in by the officiating.
Souths most certainly can't complain about how they are treated by the refs IMO.

As much as Seibold is a flog, that sort of thing comes down to attitude and pride of performance by the players themselves.
The Broncos problem is their players are so used to success and being told how fantastic they are that they can't handle adversity. This current crop would've been brought up through the grades getting their boots licked by all and sundry, when the going has gotten tough they have dropped their bundle.
It's great to watch??

It was great to watch earlier in the season but we could've done with them pulling off an upset last night we need some of these teams above us on the ladder that are reachable to lose to make our way into the top 8 more achievable .....as sad as that is to say

Whilst the Broncos pack is brim full of immense talent, these guys are still relatively young and are prone to going missing at certain times throughout games (Haas being the exception, but he can’t do it all on his own) They badly need an experienced forward leader to help inspire and mold these young guys. Lodge was supposed to take up that mantle when players like Parker, Gillett etc left, but I don’t think he could lead a horse to water let alone make it drink. Haas will be that leader one day, but he badly needs some mentoring now to help him get there, imo.

Yeah I agree, I wish there was a way all the 6 agains from every game could be recorded. As I said they are just as good as getting a penalty, perhaps moreso as they are often given within the opposition’s 20 metres. Changed the game completely in many respects and it seems the refs can hide their bias more now since there are no stats recorded for them.

It is not how many penalties you concede - it is where and when.

Same as 6 again, where on the field and when in the tackle count.

If the lines people can't keep an eye on the 10 metres, get someone who can.

Souffs are off side just about the whole game, everygame.

You certainly get concessions and favors when you are the "Pride of the League" (Joke)

"Scumbags of the League" is more like it.

I’ve been trying to pinpoint a reason as to why the Broncos have been terrible.
Such uninspired performances.maybe a lack of leadership?
The amount of talent in that squad is ridiculous.

No heart when the going gets tough would be a reason pretty close to the mark. Same with Parramatta (they're looking rosy ATM but watch them collapse when the pressure is on and the tough stuff needs to be done in a semi, prima donna's will wilt).

Definitely.i look foward to watching them come up against the storm or a full strength roosters squad.
Parra have been average in many games this year.full credit to them for still managing to win .
I hope our recruitment is watching the shambles at Brisbane closely ?
