NRL Streaming Platforms

Hey all,

I'm after a good solid streaming platform for the NRL. I am trial WatchNrl.com, it seems pretty good although slightly pricey. Are there any other ones out there that I can compare to? I'd like to be able to watch replays too in case I can't watch the live game.

Kayo, NRL App. Kayo was alright watching games but when they had interviews or watched Fletch & Hindy it wqas like watching an old Bruce Lee movie. If you have a Telstra phone you get the NRL through there app for free.

I'm over in Hong Kong and using the WatchNRL app. Seems pretty good. I would have preferred Kayo, but couldn't get the VPN working properly to sign up. It's only for Australia.

Might try it and check out some other options I find.
I’ll be on the go next 6-7 weeks Fly to Spain to meet some friends for few days. Then Madrid- Rio-Iguazu-Rio to see the falls and time in Rio.
On to trans-Atlantic cruise via Brazil ports, Cale Verde and Morocco and on to Lisbon. About 2 weeks in Portugal exploring the rivers.
So it will be kind of challenge to keep up to the NRL stream(s).
Although might be good if we go belly up …. I can just tune out and sure to find better things to focus on.

Geez, what a trip momo! You may not find too many other solid alternatives. Livestream doesn't provide it any more.

WatchNRL would be the safest to ensure you can watch. Along with the foxtel shows. Otherwise, you could use kayo and a VPN like nordvpn. Kayo does have the benefit of a wide range of sports.

thanks hammertime
Ill give it a go. On boards internet is usually slow so there may be a 17 day hole I will need to fill with info via newspapers which I usually download and read daily.

None that I have heard of bar Foxtel

You should get out more..

I have fox but a mate has kayo good quality stream when I've watched it ..all sports $25 a month…night be time to ditch em

Problem with Kayo is you can only sign up with an Australian mobile number.

Also not sure they do replays. WatchNrl seems to keep all eps of the shows and the games but not sure how long for.

I watched the 2 trials last week on demand the next day on Kayo. Ive gone mega tight ass and share a subscription with a mate. $12.50 a month is damn good value.

I will never go through NRL.com again. And I would advise others off it also. In 2017 (or was it 2016?), I had had the subscription through NRL.com the for the season, paying the monthly fee, and wanted to finish it now the season had ended. So I did.

Then the company kept withdrawing money from my account. That month they withdrew some, then the next. I contacted NRL.com and was told it wasn't them, it was some contracted company they use, and NRL.com could do nothing. So I contacted the other company, and continued to get the run-around. Repeated phone calls, emails, for no result. I contacted the bank, ombudsman et cetera, and couldn't get them to stop. I read how other people had experienced the same problem, and the only solution people had found was to cancel the credit card. Eventually I did cancel the card, as annoying as that was.

So be careful with them, never again will I go through NRL.com, hope everyone else that does has better experiences.

Kayo is awesome, its designed as an on demand platform so definately does replays. Can even start watching a sporting event from the start when is has already started which is perfect for me. Has all the nrl shows on demand. Great value for $25.

I had a similar experience a few years ago. Cant remember if I got refund. I with Telstra now and get it for free.
Don’t tick the Tigers support tab on your NRL profile - they will screw you.

I agree … had few problems with them in the past with auto deductions so cancelled. Would not consider or recommend a revisit.

Kayo is my preference now that I know it has on-demand.

But I don't know how I can get around signing up without an Australian mobile…

What a trip mate hope you have a good time. I went on a trip to Argentina and used the website http://cricfree.sc/home or https://www.vipbox.live/ to watch NRL games for free. It is a bit dodgy so i would download an adblocker. If one doesn't work try the other. I worked really well for me on the laptop and i live streamed our game against Manly at brookie and Newcastle at Tamworth really well.
