Manly did carry that trial form into the season proper - after 5 rounds they were 1 and 4 with a for and against of 47-168
Tom came back and they started flogging teams starting with Titans and closely followed by Tigers.

But that's the point - the comp isn't won in the first 5 rounds.

Most teams didn't run out close to full strength....

Tigers without first-choice fullback, first-choice 5/8th and first-choice captain (centre or 5/8th), plus two more first-choice backline with ACLs... Tigers didn't run out close to full strength either.
