League and SOO just isn't the same anymore….it really isn't the quality of it all is just crap. Not teh biffs etc but just standard of football.

Gone are the days of Siro, Elias, Jack, Renouf Langer, Mullins, daley, Stuart, Fitler, Brandy...

Who do we have now? Teddy isn't in that league. Inglis hasnt done anything in 2-3 years. Only one is Thurston I think.

add in players like Hayne and Burgess in 2014.

after this year/next year we'll probably have a bit of a transition period but emerging players like milford, tedesco etc. are likely to be guns

i think the difference now is the game is a lot moreinternational, so origin simply isn't the highest level of the game like it was 15-25 years ago. almost all the NRL greats of that era also played origin

these days we have the burgesses, shaun johnsons, taumololos, james graham etc. who youll only see in internationals

Perhaps you're right it's a transition phase in league but the NSW squad to me looks like poo.

The QLD team look old just doesn't have the appeal anymore (to me).

Dylan Walker? Jack Bird? I watched Bird through NYC and he was good but no where near

Well after that song,,I was extremely confident of Victory…until that is I heard this from Laurie on NRL Tonight when asked about the possibility of Jack Bird starting...

Laurie Daley....'I don't know Jack that well'....What the...you picked him in the team and has played NRL for 18 months...

Daley has absolutely no idea as a coach. I do hope we go well tonight and win but I'm not optimistic. As someone else pointed out this could easily end up another disaster like Origin 3 last year; especially considering it will be Corey Parker's last Origin appearance at Suncorp and they will really want to give him the appropriate sendoff.
