Speaking of Laz setting up tries, here are a few pics (excuse the quality I wasn't as close as I'd of liked)

Came away from Henson Park very happy with some of the performances I saw. (And dry. How good is it to be able to park your car behind the seats !! Ahhh….. memories.)
Anyway, Andrew Fifita took up where he left off last year. Took three or four blokes to put him down on his rampaging runs. Was popping offloads and passing before the line to great effect, not just a metre eater.
Arana Tamata showed some neat footwork and will definetly improve with more game time.
Had my first real look at Blake Lazarus to see what all the hype was about. Was not disappointed. The kid seemed a class above the rest of the players. Organised play, kicking game, tidying up in defence, all done with the tempo you would expect from a first grade halfback. I wish the kid luck on the injury front.

The Fonz wants a few of these guys to get some games under their belt first. I can see how the Fonz would want blokes like Arana Taumata, Andrew Fifita and Blake Lazarus to play as many **open aged** games as they can to get back into the vibe of things and to get some match fitness.

But blokes like Gower and Pritchard **MUST** be in the mix surely. Is Gower even in the top 35 ???? It was no coincidence that BRET grew and extra leg when he came back on in the 2nd half.

I congratulate Jason Payless, Junior Moops, Mark Flanagan and Daniel Fitzy on their inclusion in the NRL top 17 but all of these blokes have to realise that there is some serious talent breathing down their necks, and I think the Fonz realises this also. I think the Fonz has to settle on his top 17 before Round 14 (Which is what he usually does) and has to settle on picking the best squad by at least round 5.

Hey Bug, I think you should be called the Fonz. As i recall, the Fonz used to hold his conference meetings in the men's room of Al's diner.
I overheard you yesterday having a good short in-depth chat to someone in the blocks..
But please…tell me one thing...
How do you pull those chicks with just a click of your fingers?

i tell u what, ive had two knee reconstructions and the reports about how Lazarus is going is phenomonal. Well done to the kid. I havent seen him this year, but from the reports im sooooo impressed. He must have great heart.

I havent seen the kid play much at all but from the reports over the years he is very much the syle of halfback I like and think would be a perfect partner for Benji. We certainly have a lot of options in this position right now. They key over the next 6 weeks is to settle on one.

Just watched the game.

Impressed with Lazarus and Tomatoe.

They both look very sharp.Very talented and not far off 1st grade.

But…..my MOM was the big FB Meaney.Really got us going with some huge runs from dummy half and also kicked 5 from 5.

Very good player and wouldnt look out of place in the top grade.

PS........lols at Mitch Brown.

Defends by running around in circles,dead set awful.
