NSW Cup Team Announcement: Round 15 vs. Newcastle Knights

Wests Tigers VB NSW Cup Coach Paul Fletcher has named his side to take on the Newcastle Knights in their Round 15 clash on Saturday, June 20.

Kickoff for the match is scheduled for 3:00pm at Campbelltown Sports Stadium.

Looking to end a run of defeats that continued with a last start defeat to the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles on the weekend, Fletcher’s side has been boosted by the inclusion of Josh Drinkwater, who was in doubt due to a finger injury suffered last week.

Young forward Junior Tatola has also been named to make his NSW Cup debut, after being named in the starting front row alongside Jack Buchanan and Andy Fiagatusa.

wow, how far backwards has Sitakeli gone, had a major impact though, if he reaches his potential wow but it seems like our coaches have no faith in him.
 
That lineup on paper should do well, but the second half performances have left a lot to be desired lately.

Can't see him getting a run unless Taylor does a total backflip on his defensive plan. Explosive and can put on an occasional hit, but overall defence is crap.

He played the same grade as my son so Im guessing he turns 20 next year (like my bloke) but could be older unsure….big reward for him..starting spot too - cred.
I think this years his first in 20s
 
The bench could barely punch through a wet paper bag. Unfortunate when you consider at full strength it would probably have any combination of Liolevave, Funaki, Fiagatusa, Grant, Graham, Akauola or even Lodge.
Disappointed to see Sita so far down though, he was dominating early in the year but is getting shunted so we can play two 20's a week.

Junior Tatola is only 18 and in his first year of 20s. Hasn't done a huge amount in NYC thus far, but he's huge so maybe they're giving him a go against the big boys so he can see what's required to make the step up.

Backline is awful. Expect Moltzen to be out, Rowe to fullback and hopefully Kharwin gets another shot. Put him on the other wing though as far away from Hoeter as possible so he might get to touch the ball.

With Naiqama and Simona in doubt there could still be a few changes to this side too.

I'd bring Farlow in at 5/8 and have another forward on the bench. Move Fine back to the centres too.
 
Wests Tigers NSW Cup Coach Paul Fletcher has finalised his Round 15 side to play the Newcastle Knights today at Campbelltown Sports Stadium.

Kickoff for the match is scheduled for 4:00pm AEST as Fletcher's side look to end a run of four straight defeats against the team they last beat in Round 10.

Tim Moltzen (shoulder) is again a late withdrawal from the side, while Josh Drinkwater (finger) also will not play in today's match against the Knights.

Their absence sees 2014 NYC Five-Eighth of the Year Te Maire Martin make his NSW Cup debut in the halves, while Obed Karwhin comes into the side to replace Moltzen.

Te Maire going well apparently. Kharwin on a steep learning curve playing fullback. Spilled one bomb which led to a try shortly after but he must be doing something right to keep Rowe on the wing.
