He was OK. Liddle is still way ahead. Really the conditions didn't lend themselves for outstanding play.

The team as a whole was pretty average. Couldn’t say anyone in particular stood out.

Thought we might have had to reconsider putting him up to first grade, until Blore returns, but who knows how we go in addressing some of our defensive issues.

The conditions really didn't lend themselves for stand outs. Certainly no one made me sit up and take notice.

How’s Suaali?

I can see how the Bears/Roosters use him. He is tall and fairly lanky. He is used when a bomb or kick in goal, he can jump above most players. Apart from that I really didn't see anything special. Made a number of mistakes/drop balls. You can see potential though. I actually think at his current level of development he would get dominated in the NRL. With a few games under his belt, who knows.

He chased a short kick and got a line drop out. But yeah, he’s just doing the minimum until his contract is up. I hope he has invested well in addition to getting his degree.

Can someone please tell me why we are watching the bombs come down (both at NRL and KOE levels) instead of competing for the ball? I don't care if players are out of position or not. Catch the ball on the full and compete unless it's right near the sideline where you can push the opposition out.

All this training with the NRL squad etc and we don't seem to even know the basics.

I can only assume our confidence is at all time low but I would rather see someone go for the ball and drop it rather than leave it and let them score anyway.

If I see our JF boys do this I will be ropeable. Surely it's not a club directive?
