Did it really state Packer played 70mins?

He played most of the game so I would believe that.

He was conserving energy in case he needed to play 74 minutes

If you get a chance have a look at the highlights of this game. I stopped counting how many times Packer was standing with his hand on hips watching..very sad for a senior player supposed to be leading our younger brigade

Can someone please tell me why we are watching the bombs come down (both at NRL and KOE levels) instead of competing for the ball? I don't care if players are out of position or not. Catch the ball on the full and compete unless it's right near the sideline where you can push the opposition out.

All this training with the NRL squad etc and we don't seem to even know the basics.

I can only assume our confidence is at all time low but I would rather see someone go for the ball and drop it rather than leave it and let them score anyway.

If I see our JF boys do this I will be ropeable. Surely it's not a club directive?

Hoffman is not a winger. Doesn't have any instincts for the position. I'm sure he's been trained to contest the ball but yet he was standing with both feet on the ground while an opponent jumped, caught the ball and scored. Not good enough. Play the kid at centre and bring up Scolari if we need to.

Yeah I'm not entirely sure why they keep persisting with that, agree with your recommendation. Anyone know what the go is with Josh Rizk?

He's playing Ron Massey for Ryde Eastwood. Very bizarre we're not playing him in Flegg, not even named on the bench, nor playing NSW Cup when the likes of Cooper are. Not sure if he's got/had a niggling injury or offseason surgery but he's gone from the star of last season's flegg squad to nobody in 12 months.

It's not as if our squads are full of lightning fast and creative players, capable of playing 1-6.

That is very strange. He is someone who I thought the club had high hopes for, He played well in the flegg trial I thought. He did have a hamstring injury but that was before the trial.

He wasn't even starting for Ryde Eastwood in round one, was number 14, behind the likes of Curtis Wilson and Tony Tali in the backline. I saw him at one of the unscheduled Flegg trials at Leichhardt and he was in the grandstands all day by himself. Seemed odd that he wasn't trialling but figured maybe they were resting him and trialing the lesser known talents.

Id suggest its because we are suddenly skinny on wingers in firsts with AJ sketchy and Madge using TT in the centres.
