Nsw halves?

Both Maloney and pierce and reynolds and keary (reynolds in particular) have had bad games this round when their team has been under pressure. The bulldogs half probably had the best game out of all of them but the bulldogs Reynolds is the worst player in the game…. So who do nsw pick for the halves this year?

No Reynolds= no keary.

Pearce and Maloney choke under pressure IMO. I don't trust them tbh.

Hodko and j reynoldns (as much as I hate him) deserve another chance.

But we all know the best option is
1\. Tedesco
6\. Moses
7\. Brooks
9\. Farah ©

Nsw will lose unless that's the spine :sign:

with injuries theyll most likely just go for maloney and pierce. reynolds and hodko are incumbent so another possibility, but we will undoubtedly lose with them there

I can't see Loz going with anything but the Dogs duo. I feel as though he will be found out this year though, they offered little creativity last year, all of the spark came from one J Hayne who isn't there this year. Even if we defend like last year, we will struggle to put enough points on the board to win games.

That Roosters v Sharks game was very, very suss. I hope the betting is looked into. Pearce and Maloney were absolute crap. And that knock-on from Pearce from the kick off from which the Sharks scored…..?? have a close look at it. Hello, Integrity Commission?

Roosters blew out from $1.16 to $1.30.

Deadset obvious why the roosters lost today

Yeah we're not looking that flash in that department are we, in fact not many NSW players are sticking their hand up at all in my opinion.

I don't know if I agree with Daley's stance on selecting a halves combination from the same team. At present, all the halves in contention have been playing quite well, while their five eighth team mates aren't doing so great (barring Keary who I think is still too raw for Origin), so this means that one 5/8 is going to get a free ride into Origin merely because they play next to a decent half, while the five eighths from other clubs that are playing well miss out altogether! I don't like it.

It looks like Adam Reynolds will be out of contention with that injury he sustained the other night, which is a shame because he was playing well and deserved a shot, imo. Hodkinson has been going ok, he has a cool head and will probably be chosen as the incumbent, which means it will most likely be him and Josh Reynolds again for the first game. Makes sense I suppose, since we did win the series with them last year, but Reynolds will be lucky to be there, imo.

Woods has to be starting prop. Before getting injured he was just about the form forward in the comp.

Hodkinson defence was great against us. I re watched that game. He was everywhere. The Dogs forwards aren't that mobile. We were through them a couple of times but then Hodkinson to pull off a good tackle to stop our go forward.

Yes, Pearce is playing very well (forgetting today), but would you have Maloney in there with him? Because it's a 2 for 1 deal with Daley. Personally, I don't think Maloney is up to it.

Pearce and Hodkinson? Either could play five-eighth.

Adam Reynolds is gone now.

Mullen could be in the running for 5/8\. Great kicking game and solid in defence.

Maloney been playing awesome up until yesterday. I would say form 6 of the season.. Think rostets struggled without hargraves. So they need forwards to dominate to succeed.

But with daley comment about performing under pressure none of them stood up with a good run or 40 20 to change the game.

In game 1 we should retain the same halves as last year. Pearce has stepped up this year minus yesterday's game.

I'd like to see Pearce and Hodkinson in the halves. Here's my team at the moment:
1\. Dugan
2\. Tupou
3\. Jennings
4\. Morris
5\. Morris
6\. Pearce
7\. Hodkinson
8\. Woods
9\. Farah
10\. Gallen
11\. Hoffman
12\. Scott (injured? If so, Stewart)
13\. Bird
14\. Watmough
15\. Merrin
16\. Lewis
17\. Fifita/Tamou (whoever recaptures form)
