NSW must pick Farah: Sheens

Started to think for the last couple weeks he's firming odds wise…bloody good chance
Next couple of games for us are crucial

I don't mind if a coach gets behind a player if the player is being blatantly overlooked. What I can't stand is when Bennett talks up Bedsy who has been mediocre all year and can't even complete 80 mins of club footy.

It would be on par with Stuart Flanagan pumping up Colin Best or Ben Pomeroy.

This has to be the most baffling sentence I have read on here all year. Are you seriously that hard up for a whinge that you attack Sheens for his long overdue recommendation of Robbie for SOO?

Have you ever participated in any team sport, of any kind, ever? Your team mates and your coach know you and your game best of anyone in the comp. When you reach the level that accomodates praise, these are the first people who will be in your corner….and you can't stand this? :crazy

For mine Bravo Tim. Robbie should be involved in Origin. Congrats on having your captains back.

That's right CB, the blatantly overlooked bit needed to be addressed, especially now that Stuart and co don't seem to be completely sold on Ennis and possibly Soward playing in these crucial positions anymore. Farah's good combination with Pearce is helping his claim big time. Stuart overlooked this combo last year and I think he realised his error. Unlike some of the other NSW FOGS and selectors, I actually think Stuart has more brains and is less of a 'boys club' advocate. One hopes so anyway, because if he isn't prepared to move beyond the wilting pile of 'chosen Origin favourites', then NSW will continue to lose these series.

The media bandwagon may be turning in Robbies favour. The Buderus bandwagon may have gone off to soon. Good luck Robbie and play well this weekend

I reckon farah is a good chance. Probably a bit selfish of me but I prefer a full strength side during the origin period. Also is it just me or is it a sad indication of the lack of a dominant halfback for nsw that Pearce can pretty much land an origin jumper after 2 solid performances?

Blocker said on Ch 10 news he thinks Buderus is better credentialed.

I don't think I understand.

This is the same man who 3 weeks ago criticised the Roosters taking a shot at field goal 12 in front with 10 to go, 10 m out right in front of the posts. I don't understand him either

Buderus' reputation is based solely on being the hooker who fed Andrew Johns, at club level and at rep level. How difficult could that have been - to simply send the ball out in Joey's direction?

NSW future should be based around Todd Carney and Robbie Farah. You can play either Pearce / Carney or Carney / Soward, as you wish. Fullback is Jarred Hayne. That's yr spine.

Look, Bedsy isn't as useless as people make him out to be. I read a stat a few years back that Newcastle won something like 34% of their games with Buderus available and Johns out, and that stat was halved when the Johns was available and Bedsy wasn't.

The bloke had value years ago, but he's long in the tooth and Robbie should well be considered if the Tigers trounce the Eels this weekend. It looks as though he'll have the forward pack to help lay the platform and challenge the QLD pack. This is why he struggled last time, and was as such made a scapegoat.

Well said!!!

A BIG reason,,why we won in 2005,,NO PLAYERS were picked in State of Origin!!! Come September,,really who cares about State of Origin??? If it is NOT a stand alone game on Weekends,,I hope NO TIGERS get picked!!! Selfish, I know, but come September!!! On Farah's form,,last time he made a break from dummy half was way back in 2005!! They have played 7 games so far, Farah was suspended for 2 of them,,,so beats me what form thay are talking about Re Farah??? Word on the Street,,Farah makes more breaks in his Restraunt,,when picking up the plates!!!

I would prefer to have Farah fit for us as well, but the bloke has been unfairly overlooked for years and deserves another shot since Ennis has proven to be just as useless. It's high time he got another shot.

He's tougher than a coffin nail so I can't see him getting injured anyway.

The daily telegraph are running a poll on who should be the NSW number 9\. As of right now ….......

Danny Buderis - 18.75% (180 Votes)

Robbie Farah - 58.13% (558 Votes)

Michael Ennis - 9.48% (91 Votes)

Ryan Hinchcliff - 13.65% (131 Votes)

Total Votes 960

Wow!
Lotta Tiges fans read the Tele….LOL

As for the opinions of selfishly wanting players for club only, yeh I can see ppls points there, but how could you deny something that a player dearly wants?

This argument might have some merit if it was actually true. Fact is though, Farah made 10 linebreaks last year, so it might be wise to do your homework before sprouting nonsense such as this.
