I really don't care what type of player they go with... Bird, Gal, Dylan walker Inglis etc.... There's plenty of grubs in our game... But Freddie looking very hypocritical here

Nah he won't start with Murray, he'll want him coming on and using his footwork at the line later in the game. I'd say the plan would be for Jake to play prop in his second stint and Frizell to spend some time in the middle when Crichton comes on as well.

Just don't see much impact on that bench, too inexperienced.
Qld will be looking to aim up on Hass and get stuck into him as soon as he gets on and if they succeed NSW will go nowhere.

Have my doubts about Cotric, Wighton, Walker, Cleary, Crighton.

Cleary was always going to be picked. His personal form hasn't been that bad. Maloney has been shocking.

I see a lot of incumbency in that side. It's exactly the same starting pack as Game 3 2018, with the major changes happening on the bench due to form or suspension - De Bellend, T Sims and Peachey out.

Same with backs, Tommy Turbo unavailable replaced by Cotric (who 18th or 19th man last year anyway?), Jimmy Jet as good as unavailable replaced by Josh Morris. Although I would have chosen Ramien ahead of Morris - J Mo can tackle but man he is on old legs nowadays.

Cody Walker in for Jimmy Maloney, then Keary and Adam Reynolds going down (latter an unknown quantity) removes any other questions about the halves.

Like Cleary, Crichton is an incumbent. With so many injuries to the squad forcing them to pick some newbies, I think it was wise to stick with most of the players who delivered the series win last year if they are available.

Yeah the bench is dopey. Matterson would have been able to cover the roles of Wighton and Crichton on that bench and that would have allowed for another big body to be selected.
Wighton will have the useless Dylan Walker 9 minute role unless there's an injury in the backs or Walker gets hooked for weak defence...
