this is going to sound selfish. :rant
don't want many if nay wests-tigers players in State Of origin.
yes it is a good specatacle.
does not contribute to getting any competition points for your respective club, and has chance of you being without a player for sometime if they get injured
rep honours are fantastic, :master: but I always thought, each season that winning a NRL premiership was the ultimate goal. :righton:

Hell yes Ayshford. Think about the bench value he offers. Having Ayshford there is perfect foil. He can come on in the backrow, centres or wing and be effective in all positions. Perfect bench utility player for NSW and I'm disappointed he hasn't been given consideration. He is tough as teak, can defend well, extremely difficult to put to ground, has an offload, has pace and good ball playing. At this stage he offers more than Luke Lewis in the same role imo.

Personally I don't see Ayshford being very effective in the back row during SOO. Luke Lewis would be the better option he is much better than Blake as of 2011.

Yeah, well, I think you're wrong. I think Lewis is past it. Everything Lewis offers, Ayshford offers AND more.

Wow, only two mentions of Soward in this entire thread? The guy has been the 5/8th for the best team in the league the last two seasons. IMO he should be selected this year.

Soward is butters, we all saw Inglis flick off with ease.
He has no right to be in any rep jerseys.
He can kick good and is a decent play maker but if he the best choice NSW has got, then they're in trouble.

Well there goes another potential NSW half, he probably wouldn't of been picked anyway the way he's been playing. I don't think Pearce would of been picked either.
It will be interesting now to see who actually gets picked in the halves, with all the talk over the last few series about sticking with a combination even if it cost us a few series.
Carney has really turned everything on it's head now. Mullen and Soward maybe?
