So our reserve grade isn’t playing out of Campbelltown? Bloody hell. They really hate c town don’t they that’s a real shame.

Yeah I'm trying to get my head around this decision, seems to me that Wests Magpies have just abandoned Campbelltown. Considering West Ashfield funds both Wests Magpies and Wests Tigers leave me considering the implications for the Wests Tigers.

It’s really disappointing. We should be trying to promote Campbelltown not move away from it just makes no sense to me at all.

Can’t get the locals enthusiastic about the Wests Tigers. Haven’t been able to for years. Time to cut our losses.

To be honest the Magpies also failed to engage the local community, I guess that most people there already have other teams they follow.

I agree with that most people in campbelltown already follow a team and moved out that way.

Yeah history suggests that, Magpies had the same problem

As long as I get my three Campbelltown games I’ll be happy enough though ?

1 game only at each of LO and CSS is the way forward.

Probably but I just love going to Campbelltown to watch footy lol

I don’t mind CSS either, not my fav but not bad. I can’t see it as our future though.

Me either, its like a big country ground

I don't mind CSS, always enjoy the game there.

Close to home, easy to park there and it’s a nice little ground to watch footy with your mates or family. Always enjoy my day there

Are you interested in grabbing a beer if we get a game there next year?

Would be happy to ??

I'll pm you in the leadu to our next game there.

Exactly, maybe if Balmain could have tapped into that trendy vibe they could have attracted some of that new demographic, but it wasn't meant to be.

I'm ok with that and ready to accept the change, just wish there was a perfect option for us, but there isn't.

I think it's a good idea for the magpies to re-engage with it's Lidcombe heritage. Campbo was just a blip on its history.
Magpies at Lidcombe, Tigers at Homebush, C O E at Concord, league's club at Ashfield. It's like they finally have a plan.

Seems a very odd move. I guess they'll still play at ctown when WT do, but still that's only 3 games a season. What possible benefit is there for Wests?

Great news about Lidcombe oval only 15 mins from me in Ashfield so will get to a few games this year. Also helps us cement that whole region from Lidcome to Liverpool over to cambelltown (still 3 games of all grades) in prep for the new Liverpool stadium

Tigers club at Flemington.. our club is finally setting down roots through the whole organisation, great news about Lidcombe this is the traditional home of the Magpies ...as above Campbelltown was a meaning to an end and a failure !
Certainly will attend games at Lidcombe the whole club coming back to there roots 😀the inner city !

everything moving in one direction
inner city
Ashfield Leagues
COE at Concord
West Magpies at Lidcombe agree magpies traditional home not Campbletown
Tigers club at Flemington
Choice will be whether WT use the new SFS or ANZ moving forward. ANZ makes sense but the stadium is not spectator friendly as we would then double down on the inner city everything locked up from Ryde to Homebush to Lidcome and ashfield
plus a terrific nursery at Campbletown

Benny gave it the kiss of death but the actual demise was caused by the casino imo

Kristina Keneally and the Labor government at the time didn't help either as they changed their mind on Sydney Metro Project in 2010
Thank you Kristina
