Hunt must have had a pretty outstanding game to make the rep squad after one game back from injury all season..!

Hunt has had 2 games back and was best on field on Saturday…

ALvaro has played almost every game in NRL, wonder how he is eligible?

Glad Mitch Williams is getting a game, he kills it every year at that level, I thought at some point someone would have taken a punt on him as a back up hooker.

And the week before he was best on field for us as well
1 – Justin Hunt (Wests Tigers)
The swap between Hunt and former fullback Watson Heleta proved a worthwhile one in the Tigers’ demolition of the Magpies at Ringrose Park on Sunday – the new custodian ran a huge 26 times for 247 metres in a dominant performance. With two offloads, two line-break assists and seven tackle busts to suit, Hunt looked to inject himself into the Tigers’ attack at every opportunity. He is one of many Tigers putting their hand up for first grade spots, which might be up for grabs following the NRL side’s Round 8 thrashing.

Maybe he is a better option at fullback than Rankin while Teddy is out, those comments sound like a Tedesco wrap up.

Taylor decided way back in the preseason that Rankin was his back up no1 and when JT gets a player in his head nothing ever seems to change his mind. Not saying Hunt is better, but Rankin will get the gig and keep the gig till Teddy returns. Hunt may be a real chance for the vacant wing spot and leap frog JAC

Hunt would be quicker than Rankin, and would suit our style more like Tedesco at the back, but you are probably right Taylor won't change his mind.

I'm not to sure about that assumption …if I remember correctly Hunt started the trial against Cronulla with Rankin on the bench....I'd say they were neck and neck unfortunately Hunt picked up a back injury in that trial that has kept him out of footy until the last 2 weeks...

Taylor said a few weeks ago that Rankin was picked on the wing so he could make the transition to fullback if Teddy was injured or picked for SOO duty. Once Taylor gets a thought in his head….....

That surprises me….Do you have a link for that...the only place I have read or seen that was a post on here from Tiger Torch...
