Re-injured hamstring I thought.

Good to see Ben Chicken Tika Masala named again though

Mullaney re injured his hamstring at training before the Panfers game…

Murdoch surgery looks to be on hold.....Awesome .........he'll help the charge

Imposing forward pack and the backline looks good now that Joel Jackson is back. The learning curve will continue for young Sirro.

I think poor Brodie has been hard done by….heard the coaching staff ate not happy with his fitness levels

So he's not injured then? He's pretty lean, wouldn't have thought he'd struggle that much.

I'd like to see Bodie back in the centres where he started. Played 6 because the team didn't have one and made a real good fist of it. Talented young footballer who I hope gets a chance with someone next year.

I'm also glad to see Isaac Lui named. Hope he gets a start.

B. Clarke/Jackson has a nice ring to it….

How has Lui been this year? He looked alright in the trials I thought, had decent footwork for a young prop.

Crikey when it comes to Bodie Clarke I hope they're not doing skinfold tests on NYC players, if they don't think he's fit enough!, hopefully Mullaney comes back at the right time and please don't put any pressure on Curtis, he's only 17!.
After a great come from behind win last week let's cross our fingers and hope we get on a roll.

Willow, I saw him in a trial early and thought he went well.

The next time I saw him was in a state cup game for Wests vs Windsor and he really impressed that night. He's been playing Bundy Cup for Campbelltown most of the year I believe.

Been surprised he hasn't had a call up before this actually, but after saying that, the props that have been selected to start and off the bench have been going real well. Neil Begovich,Junior Roqica, Ethan Tafili, Mason Talolua, James Leuluai and Ben Murdoch have all played a big role in the prop rotation and have all done the job well. Not sure about James but the remainder, including Isaac Lui are still available for 20's next season.

In fact I believe the only players to move on next season from the normal 17 from this year would be Mullaney,Hyland,Bodie and Jake Clarke.

Certainly looks good to have a very competitive side next season.

From the team for this weeks game the following players are in their last year of 20's.

WESTS TIGERS BEAT EELS 34-12 IN U20S
By Wayne Cousins
22/08/2010 2:39:18 PM

Wests Tigers moved into seventh place on the Toyota Cup ladder with a commanding 34-12 victory over Parramatta Eels at Parramatta Stadium today.

Five-eighth Curtis Sironen turned in a fine performance in scoring two tries and kicking five goals for a personal haul of 18 points. His name was on everyone’s lips after the match.

Wests Tigers opened the scoring when he latched on to a flat pass to crash over under the posts. Five-eighth Curtis Sironen converted the try for a 6-0 lead after 11 minutes.

Sironen then extended the lead to 10-0 when he finished off some nice play to dive over 10 metres next to the posts. He converted his own try for a 12-0 lead after 16 minutes. It was Sironen’s first try in the Toyota Cup since coming into the team a fortnight ago.

Second-rower Ben Murdoch-Masila then pulled off a trysaving tackle when he raced acrossfield to tackle centre Jacob Loko, whose inside pass five metres from the tryline rolled forward.

The Eels opened their account when second-rower Matthew Eisenhuth crashed over out wide. Five-eighth Jason Wehbe converted from 20 metres out for a 12-6 scoreline after 31 minutes.

Wests Tigers forward Ben Murdoch Masila got his side a penalty after Eels prop Ava Seumanufagi decided to agitate him before throwing the first punch.

From that set of six, Wests Tigers attacked the Eels quarter before getting a repeat set of six through a goal line drop out.

Wests Tigers were rewarded when half-back Liam Ayoub scored next to the posts but not before he slipped over just metres short of the line before slamming it down with one hand. Sironen converted the try to give Wests Tigers an 18-6 lead after 37 minutes.

The score remained that way until half-time.

2ND Half

Wests Tigers got off to a positive start in the second half when Sironen broke the tackle of centre Ryan Morgan to race 20 metres to dive over in the left hand corner for his second try. Sironen converted his own try from the sideline to give Wests Tigers a 24-6 lead.

Hooker Dean Parata kept the scoreboard ticking over when he ran into a gap off a pass from Sironen to beat two defenders to score under the posts. Sironen converted the try for a 30-6 lead after 59 minutes.

Parramatta reached double figures late in the game when prop Peni Terepo scored under the posts. Wehbe converted for a 30-12 scoreline.
Wests Tigers scored again in the 76th minute when winger Joel Jackson showed his pace to score in the corner for a 34-12 lead. Sironen missed his first attempt of the day from the sideline.
