NYC Team Announcement: Round 17 vs. Parramatta Eels

Wests Tigers NYC Head Coach Brett Kimmorley has named his Round 17 side to take on the Parramatta Eels on Monday, July 6 at ANZ Stadium.

Kickoff for the match is scheduled for 4:45pm AEST as Kimmorley’s side look to build on a stunning upset win last week over competition leaders Penrith Panthers.

With the Club’s NSW Cup side on a bye this weekend, forward Junior Tatola has dropped back to NYC this week to replace JJ Felise, who again misses this week’s game with injury. Watson Heleta will also return to the side alongside star centre partner Marion Seve as the Club looks to consolidate their spot inside the top eight of the competition.

Just came across this page and out of interest was looking through the transfers. I seem to recall a few mentioning Mason Cerruto as a useful centre or fullback. I might be reading this incorrectly but is he transferring to the Eels?

If Seve's out for origin they would have to move Jacobs to centre and play Kharwin. We can't afford to lose our top wing prospect.

Kharwin scores after 2 mins. 12 tries in 7 games (and 7th game is only 2 mins old!) The guy's a champ!

Wests Tigers NYC Holden Cup Coach Brett Kimmorley has finalised his side to take on the Parramatta Eels tonight, with a number of late changes to the side.

Kickoff for the match is scheduled for 4:45pm from ANZ Stadium, as Kimmorley's side look to record back-to-back wins heading into the bye next weekend.

With Jacob Liddle, Marion Seve and Matthew Woods all unavailable due to U/20 State of Origin commitments, Wests Tigers have also been dealt a blow with 2014 NYC Five-Eighth of the Year Te Maire Martin ruled out of the match due to a concussion.

His absence will see Jeremy Marshall-King move from fullback to five-eighth and captain the side, while extended NRL squad player Lamar Liolevave returns in the second row.

Obed Karwhin also returns on the wing, having scored 11 tries in six games so far in 2015.

That was a great try. Looked like eels were going to hold them out. Jacobs got away from about 5 defenders and got a great pass away when they finally caught him.

Very happy to hear the wraps I got about Jacobs are starting to come to the forefront
