NYC Team Announcement: Round 19

Papenhuyzen won't be back.

Anyone to do with the medical and strength and conditioning of this team should be sacked. So many of the best players have been going back and forth from the side, injured one week, back the next, injured again the week after etc. Or missing 2 months and coming back and getting injured again within minutes and missing another large chunk of the season. Some may be bad luck but there are far too many consistent similarities here.

Again missing Giles, Pap and Lemuelu is just too much for this side. Props did well but with 60% possession we really should have done better but with no halfback and down to 15 men for 60 mins it makes it tough against a good side.

They didn't throw in the towel but were outclassed. Turning point in the match though was definitely the absolutely ridiculous kickoff by Doolan. Had two thirds of possession up 10-6, concede a soft try in the 38th min to lock things up at 10 all. Then this dimwit decides the 39th minute would be a fantastic time to try a short kick off to himself, no one else knew it was on. He kicks it 20m, Manly picks it up and 2 tackles later score another soft try to give them the lead and all the momentum and our boys to go into the sheds shaking their heads and swearing.

But then again Doolan shouldn't be on the field so he can't really be blamed when he does something stupid.

Hopefully we can avoid the spoon but the Warriors are improving (and are usually extremely strong at this level)

even the better players arent that good. papenhuyzen is more mullaney then tedesco. seyfarth looks another matt woods/kyle lovett to me. peck wont go any further. giles and mikale might be ok depth/nsw cup players.a few of the outside backs have a bit of promise, not much to get excited over though.
