NYC Team Announcement: Round 4 vs. Eels..

Worst I have seen them play this year…no energy and no one seems to want to tackle...just going through the motions...

The talented players in this NYC team are props, hookers, backrowers and outside backs so it's actually good that we're growing players into our development needs when we need them. But without decent halves they're not going to be a major competitor in the comp this year. As long as guys like Tatola, Felise, Karwhin, Peck, Masters, Stone and Sironen are getting good time training with the first graders it'll be okay.

This halfback is a real stinker.
Hopeless.

I've been lucky enough to see nearly the entire 80 mins in all 3 home games and he looks completely out of his depth.

The team has been very disappointing since a terrific win v the Warriors. Stone missed the game again today which has to be a worry.

Both centers and the new right winger were diabolical in defence today.

The whole team looked non interested from the kick off. It was only parra taking the footy off the accelerator that stopped it being 60+

I'm actually glad in the end that i missed most of this match due to a mates birthday. As has been said over the past few weeks the halves are a real problem for this side. With Mapesone purely being a runner all of the organisation goes to Bartley who has struggled to do anything, at all, thus far this season.

I don't want to be too harsh on a kid but most players with any talent in attack standout pretty quickly in NYC. Defence is so poor you can easily show off your skills but his passing and kicking game seem to be lacking - although by all reports he did quite well in the trials - even set up a few tries in nsw cup trials.

We have been blessed with exceptional halves at this level like Brooks, Moses, Martin and Sirro over the past few seasons, im not disappointed to not have another future superstar in the halves. All this team needs is a serviceable half. A Darren nichols or Eli Levido type player that can do alright at this level, without standing out and may never go any further than nyc.

In the short term i wonder if Peck could get a go at halfback, with Wheelhouse playing more mins at hoooker? Or Rizk to come up from Balmain?

This is what I've noticed too fergiefurr and Balmain Boy.
He's just not up to it at all. It's not like he's having good touches but making a few errors here and there he's just not good enough. He's multiple levels below everyone around him.
I don't want to bag a kid but there's got to be better options.
