NYC Team Announcement: Round 7 vs. Raiders

Tue 14th April, 04:50PM

Wests Tigers NYC Coach Brett Kimmorley has named his side to take on the Canberra Raiders in their Round 7 clash on Sunday, April 19.

Kickoff for the match is scheduled for 11:45am at Leichhardt Oval.

Following a disappointing 38-4 loss to the New Zealand Warriors, Kimmorley has made several changes for this week’s game against the Raiders, who come into the match themselves on the back of a thrilling 28-24 win over the Melbourne Storm in Round 6.

Second-year players Jeremy Marshall-King and Tom Satterwaite return from injury this week to take their spots at fullback and wing respectively, with John Tohi pushing into the centres. Veiru Mapesone gets his first start of the season, replacing Eli Levido, while captain Matthew Woods will start at lock forward, replacing the injured Tyler Cassel.

Great to see Tom S back. Very different backline. Wonder whether Levido was dropped or if it was an injury.

The Tigers were punished for a poor final 30 minutes by the Warriors while the Raiders overcame the loss of key players to defeat the Storm by four points.

Geeze Kharwin has a great build for a winger. Hopefully he'll develop the ability to match the physique.

This is simply schoolboy rugby league… Go back to the sheds are whoever won the toss should be declared the winner

Kharwin has a double now and we lead 22-16 after 58 minutes. Raiders about to go on the attack here though.

Liddle scores a fantastic solo try from 48 out to put us back in the lead.
