Nofo and Koro will both be on the left side according to the match up view … Watch out Cowboys! Dont know if it's good or bad having them together. We'll lose some punch from the right some and it may upset the balance
 
I think that's great move. Nofoaluma breaks more tackles than any other player in the NYC. If he draws a few players in and puts Koroibete away, lookout. Asipeli Fine and Rowe on the right side is a pretty handy combo also.

x 2 willow .. this must be close to the best possible line-up for the 20,s ( not including curtis ). sue and paasi off the bench offer will plenty as well. c'mon boys and give'em a biffing

from what ive seen,i would of expected him to be our most damaging forward,with his first grade experience.
but sadly atm he seems to be struggling,not much impact and doesnt seem to make many metres

That's a shame, appreciate the update.
 
The Tigers will also be smarting over blowing a handy lead late in the match against the lowly placed Cowboys and losing at fulltime to a sideline conversion.
 
Hopefully this line up makes the defensive line more cohesive across the full 80
 
glad to see nofoaluma back in the centers, never understood why he was moved to the wing in the first place

Nofoaluma and Meaney both playing centres in their respective teams this w/end… Sheens' might be looking at centre depth for next season and giving both Nofo and Koriobete a good chance of graduating.
 
Its a big ask flying up there on game day . Surely the club could afford to stay an extra night

NYC Preview: Game day flight is no excuse

Wests Tigers NYC Coach Todd Payten is confident his young players have prepared well ahead of Monday’s long flight to Townsville.

Payten’s men will fly out of Sydney on Monday morning for Townsville. Upon landing, it will be a case of a quick trip to the team hotel and a rest before taking to the field at 4.45pm for the clash with the North Queensland Cowboys at Dairy Farmers Stadium.

The Cowboys may be sitting in 14th place on the ladder but with them playing at home and their opposition travelling on the day of the match, it looms as a danger game for the fifth placed Wests Tigers.

However Wests Tigers will take plenty of confidence into the match following a thrilling 23-22 win over then competition leaders Penrith at Campbelltown Sports Stadium last Saturday.

“Travelling the day of the game is far from ideal but all sides have to deal with it and I will not be allowing us to use it as an excuse,’’ Payten said.

“Last week’s win will mean nothing if we do not back it up this Monday night.

Payten admitted his side ‘fell over the line’ in beating Penrith thanks to a 42 metre field goal from captain and half-back Jacob Miller.

“It really was a game of two halves. In the first stanza we controlled the ball and stuck to the game plan to a tee and were able to get out to a 22-nil lead after 30 minutes,’’ Payten added.

“I wouldn't go as far as saying that we put the cue in the rack but we started getting away from the things that got us to the lead in the first place. I thought we could’ve played a lot smarter.

“Jacob took out the Players’ Player. His form of late has been pleasing. He understands how influential he can be and has led the side well with his enthusiasm and body language.”
 
with the change to the mcintyre system & it now being a massive advantage to finish in the top four, we have to win this game against the cowboys (14th) to stay in touch with the top four.
 
Both Canberra (4th) & Roosters (6th) lost today, so if we can win tomorrow we will go to 28 points with Canberra & if we win by 4 or more points we will leap frog them into 4th as we will have a better for/against. We will then be 1 point behind Dogs (3rd) & 3 points behind equal first Warriors & Panthers.
