Todd Payten names Holden Cup team

Wests Tigers Coach Todd Payten has named his team to play the Sydney Roosters at Allianz Stadium on Monday, August 19, in round 23 of the Holden Cup competition.

The Roosters sit in second place on the ladder, four points clear of the sixth placed Wests Tigers in what promises to be a match not to be missed.

“I’m looking forward to seeing where we are at leading into the finals,’’ Payten said.

“The Roosters have a big and skilful forward pack. They also have a big number of players backing up from last season.”

hopefully this side finishes strongly.

I believe given the talent in the squad they have under performed a bit this year.

If they finish strongly and have a good finals series making it till at least the last 4, that would be befitting their ability.

Going to be a massive test for the boys today against one of the gun sides of the comp. Unless we play better than we have been lately against lower ranked teams they'll will blow us off the park. Having Santi back from injury should make a big difference to our defence
