Wish Blair played with as much effort during a game as what he put into the haka

He has been very good this year in case you have missed the games!

Seen every game mate! I agree he is playing a lot better, at least he has made over 100m this year, he is also playing to get a extension on his contract to tho. Just can't see why a players off the bench play half the minutes but make more metres and make more tackles

You know Gavet has been getting massive wraps at times. I reckon if he was fit he would have been selected ahead of K Bromwich tonight.

what a game from both tigers players. blair was splendid in defense. smashed everything that moved.

cant help but hate the aussie team. full of grubs and cheats. even the coach is a deadset moron.. how peesed did DCE look when he finally got to gon with 7 to go?

To the kiwi tigers. You can hold your head up from that game. Hope you bring extra form to the tigers. we need it. Tapau and Blair inspirational.

Blair played well tonight. His quick play the ball set up one of New Zealand's first tries. He played the full game with passion and saved three certain Australian tries with last ditch tackles. I'm not sure what Gould was getting at when he commented that one of Australia's last tries was due to what he called "lazy defence" from Blair.

Great debut match from Martin Tapau.

I've been told by a reliable source that he's asking for a extension

Went to the local show tonight so missed the game although I caught the radio coverage on the way home, it seems the Kiwis were right in it until the dying stages of the game, so International footy is 'not' dead if a team that was supposed to be lapped gave the World Champs a fair dinkun run for their money.

Not only did I not give my beloved Kiwis much (any) hope last night I was hoping against a cricket score. Going into this game we were deficient on so many levels. Many were baying for Kearney/s scalp following those selections and positional decisions.

Incredibly encouraged by the result… at least for this game. Sets up something better to look for in Oct/Nov.

But really... I was so hoping our Tiges boys played well and they did not get injured!

And yes, Gavet was definitely in the frame and would've been on the bench if fully fit!

Meantime we can add another international to our WTs ranks. Awesome!

PL
(Ps, the haka is a point of difference for us Kiwis! It's spiritual, according the opposition the utmost respect in terms of challenge)

x2 .. saw the same thing a couple of years back when sheens had fifita on the tigers bench for virtually the whole game and fifta was really cheesed as well.

i thought blair and tapau where right up there as the kiwi's best as well

The players were probably running a book on how many minutes DCE would get

Sheens just doesn't change , and his only saving grace with the Australian team is he probably has 8 of the 10 best players in the world
