Odds for 2013 Coach

I just had this bizarre day dream where Roy Masters was dusted off and brought back in to give the boys a bit of psycho attitude … Benji and Moltz were face slapping each other stupid (until someone did a nail and the doc was called)and in the lead up to the Cronulla game the whole team were spouting Nietzche and baying for the blood of the xenophobic Shire and more specifically, the half dozen familiar faces who deserted south of Tom Ugly's.
Braith was leading the comp in the 'referee ear bashing' stats by mid July with handy assists thrown in from Tweets Farah and Milky 'Bad to the Bone' Miller. The lad from Rankin Springs, Matt GrrrrrOat seemed to have gained most from Roys old school approach and with a vastly improved leg drive was steam rolling all comers with a fearsome will to bulldoze. The whole forward pack were in fact unrecognizable from past seasons with aggression dripping their every sneer; pretenders from Manly, Belmore, south of the border and Redfern were all bashed senseless by the black, orange and white - the scourge of the league ....

And then, before we were actually able to put the Sharks to the sword in the big one I came too, a smile on my face, sweat lined glistening upon my brow - Jolted back to the here and now of Matt Parish or Kevy Walters by my canine who had obviously picked up on my primal excitement and was rhythmically humping into my better leg. A wonderful fantasy, fractured by reality and the lascivious urges of a pooch named 'Basil'

It was great to see the team playing with mongrel but ... Fantasy or not
Bring on 2013

Go all out for Bellamy for 2014 and give the job to Georgie in 13 ala the orginal plan the dogs had in mind with Dymock when they signed Hasler.

Bellamy was offered by 1m a year by the Storm today I do not think we can match that.

I still don't get all the rage around Parish?

I agree and I never really took notice of what balmain did but wasn't he just an average player at best with a mullet?
I would have preferred to have kept Sheens if Parish was to get the job.

Yeah agree with you on this, would he be any better than Georgallis ? At least Georgallis has the rapport of the players one would assume.

Why isn't daniel anderson in the running? Surely he has some credibility to do so

He is ,you just take any others for $6

I reckon that bet could still be on the mark

You don't have to have been a good player to be a good coach, that's been proven many a time. The same as many really good players have been shown to be very ordinary coaches. I don't know who will be the next best option as our coach but there are some that I DON'T want!

The coaches that I don't want:
Matt Parish
Royce Simmons
Steve Georgallis

the accountant for west should bet the remaining cash they have on the bolter..then sign him up for a yr.Payout sheens and have a bank balance to sign a top coach next year. easy money

I think there could be some merit to it also. I wouldn't be surprised if we wind up with a left field coach who didn't get much of a mention but seems to fit the bill. Like a Rick Stone for example.

Rick Stone would be ideal i reckon. Did things with Newcastle not even Bennett could do. Deserves another shot in the NRL without a doubt

I really like the idea of Walters coaching us, he brings so much. Involved with Brisbane, involved with Melbourne, involved with Qld SOO - he's been around so many successful cultures! Maybe some of that success will rub off onto WT

Just a thought on Walters. True or not it was said that hagan was spotted at concord. I wouldn't be opposed to Walters head coach, Hagan assistant. It'd make sense due to the origin connection. Regardless of what happens I'd say we're in for a bumper off season.

I think Walters has great potential to be a very good first grade coach

Craig Bellamy was a average player with a mullet too
