On Sportstab the Tigers started the day at $1.90 head to head with the Broncos the same.

By 11 am we were $1.80 to the Broncos $2.00

This afternoon Sportstab has us at $1.68 and Broncos $2.15
Centrebet has Tigers at $1.72.

Someone is very confident. Is there any news around the Broncos team - late changes?

Why the hell are we favourites, with all our injuries and up against one of the form teams of the competition? This makes no sense at all, unless it's rigged or something :unamused:

How much is broncos 13+ paying?

What start ???

WESTS Tigers have won just half of their games this year, while Brisbane have strung together an amazing five in a row.

But rugby league punters are a knowledgeable bunch and bookies yesterday revealed Wests Tigers have attracted "incredible" support for tonight's match against the Brisbane Broncos at the Sydney Football Stadium.

"It's been the biggest go in a long while," TAB Sportsbet media manager Glenn Munsie said.

Both sides opened in the betting at $1.90, but the Tigers have firmed in to $1.68 and the Broncos have blown out to be at $2.15.

The plunge started after Tigers forward Chris Heighington was cleared at the judiciary on Wednesday and continued yesterday when Brisbane lost Matt Gillett to injury.

Two huge bets of $33,000 at $1.90 and $12,500 at $1.80 have been placed on the Tigers.

Maybe punters have seen that Tigers star Benji Marshall is beating his more illustrious opposite Darren Lockyer in every key league stat.

"Bets this week have been running 5-1 for the Tigers and 9-1 for the Tigers today. It's been incredible," Munsie said.

"The punters have simply decided to plonk on Wests Tigers. We have had great money for them.

"You might get $2.25 for Brisbane by kick-off. I can't believe with just one change to either side that all the punters want to be on the Tigers. In the past couple of days we have struggled to get $5000 out of Brisbane."Sportsbet also reported the Tigers tightening from $1.85 in to $1.75.

"It is an important game for Wests
Tigers after losing a match last week [against Gold Coast] they should have won," Sportsbet media communications manager Matthew Campbell said. "They can't afford to drop another game. If they lose to Brisbane they will start to lose touch with the competition leaders.

"They have too much to play for. Looking at the bets, I think the Tigers will tighten further by kick-off."

No matter what the odds are at kick- off tonight, the match promises to be an absolute belter.

"I hope the smart money is on us," Tigers CEO Stephen Humphreys said.

"I'm not too sure why but maybe the punters have seen we haven't lost any of three home games this year."

No doubt the biggest attraction will be Marshall up against Lockyer.

The Tigers website is promoting the match-up as "The Greatest Show On Earth … come and see the world's best number sixes go head to head".

"I know Benji would be up for a big game. He has spoken about the respect he has got for Darren," Wests Tigers hooker Robbie Farah said. "He knows and we all know it might be the last time we get to play against him as we don't play them up there [in Brisbane] this year.

"We are focusing on not having back-to-back losses this year and being a home game, it's important we put in a good performance.

"The result will take care of itself as long as we show up and put in a better performance than what we did last week because we know that wasn't good enough."

Lots of people are gonna lose lots of money tonight!

Obviously these people aren't too bright. Brisbane I think with North Queensland the most impressive side this season. Their defence is outstanding.
