This is my List from 1-14 of who we should Re-Sign and who we should tell too look elsewhere.
1\. James Gavet- Re-Sign for 3 more years with 1 year in our favour.
2\. Curtis Sironen - Re-Sign for 3 more years.
3\. James Tedesco- Re-Sign for 4 more years with 1 year in our favour.
4\. Sitaleki Akauola- Re-Sign for 2 more years.
5\. Braith Anasta- Don't Re-Sign.
6\. Michael Bullock- Sign for 1 more year on a NSW cup contract.
7\. Ava Seumanufagai- Re-Sign for 2 more years.
8\. Marika Koroibete- Re-Sign for 2 more years IF on under then 250k.
9\. Cory Paterson- Re-Sign for 1 more year.

I know we are only going to be able to keep half of the people I have written but I want to keep most!

Out of the 14 Off-contract players these are the Top 5 that IMO we need to Re-sign at all costs

1\. James Tedesco (Obviously)
2\. Curtis Sironen
3\. James Gavet
4\. Ava Seumanufagai
5\. Sitaleki Akauola

perfect list. We can afford to let koro, bodene and BMM go i think. Wouldn't mind keeping them but not at the expense of any you have mentioned there.

Problem is not that many will be leaving the club this year, with Blair, Lawrence and moltzen (close to 1million cap space) likely to see out 2015, means that we don't have a tonne of cap space. Although, Anasta retiring and Gibb's (FINALLY) not being on our cap should help.

James Gavet - Yes - But would like to see how he progress during the year.
James Tedesco - Yes - But I think we have missed the boat.
Ava Seumanufagai - Yes - I like the way he plays.
Bodene Thompson - Yes - Potter loves him.

Cory Paterson - Maybe - Haven't seen enough of him.

Ben Murdoch-Masila - No - Being shopped around. Won't be here.
Curtis Sironen - No - Don't get all the love for Sironen. But no doubt will be resigned.
Sitaleki Akauola - No - Not at this stage.,,wait and see.
Braith Anasta - No
Marika Koroibete - No - Being shopped around. Won't be here.

Desparately important to sign Gavet and Tedesco. Ava, Bodene and Sironen should be next priority group and as such we should be able to sign them. Then with whatever is left resign in the following order of priority:

Akauola
Marika
BMM
Fine
Paterson
Vela
Farlow
Bullock

Is Gavet perhaps being swept up in the Taupau love-in? I am not entirely convinced about Gavet. (Taupau, on the other hand, looks the real deal.)

I would keep Bodene Thomspon. He is the most improved player so far, in my opinion. He could become the solid citizen that Fulton is for us, although doesn't have the ball playing skills of Fulton.

Paterson has a touch the "Benjis"about him, tries the miracle pass, looks flashy but is not always effective.

I love Marika. Hate to see him go. If only someone could improve his catch and defensive read skills!

Koriobete has so many intangible skills but will never see firsts w Richards and Nofo in front of him, not until the 2016 season when Richards may be retiring (looks like he has many years left yet though! ). You know teams would be sizing him up with offers. Wish we could put him in the Super League for a season and then bring him back when we'll need him…

I think you need to watch a little closer. These two guys are serious footballers that every club would love on their books.

Each to their own opinion but this one has lost touch with reality.

We know the club is trying to sign teddy and sirro so I expect to see them around.

After that I would lock up Gavet, Ava and Thompson

If there is money in the bank Akaoula and Vela

The rest can either move on for more opportunity or be signed up by the NSW cup side.

Will be interesting to see if the club decides to bring anyone in from outside the club or just locks up what we have.

So it looks like Siro is probably a done deal and the club is doing it's best to resign Tedesco. So IMO Bodene Thomson is a priority, he has been playing well doing a lot of the 1% that go unseen. I would sign the following in this order.

1\. Tedesco
2\. Siro
3\. Thomson
4\. Gavet
5\. Ava
6\. Akaoula
7\. Paterson is on minimal dollars so if he signed again for a base contract he is good depth and can cover several position.
8\. I also believe that Simona (even tho signed till end of 2015 season) over the next coming months should be offered an extension of 2 years. As if the club leave it till next season he will be hot property on the open market. And leaves us open to losing him to a club that is cashed up and willing to pay big dollars.

BMM (promised so much but delivered so little) Koro (is a big liability in defence) and Moltzen (to injury prone) should be shopped around to create money to lock up all these youngsters. Anasta to retire.

BMM has the ability to have the same impact as Gavet but with more structure and stability. I am not sure why he isn't performing but I am sure Potter would give him a shot if he thought Ben had earned it.

It's a shame, he is one of my favourite players and is too good for NSW Cup

Yeah Sorry Your right I should do more..I only attend every NRL game some NSW cup games and have played against Sirro since age 16.

In my opinion Sirro has achieved because of his name. Sitaleki only played one NRL game last year and then was dumped. We can't keep all the players and if I am rating players as to who we **should** keep then these two are down the bottom.

Pretty good ordering there Happy, I'd go with that priority list but place Sirro higher than Thompson.

Sironen is a weapon. He's not a toiler. More likely to have a similar role to SBW where he can pop up anywhere. Has good hands and runs hard.
Don't get me wrong, I'm NOT calling him the next SBW. Just saying he can hit hard in defence, has a passing/ running game and is big. NRL recruitment staff are always on the lookout for this sort of player. They aren't a dime a dozen.

Just like Roy and HG used to say. "A good big man will beat a good little man."

Something thats been thrown around in here lately is how we should "sign player X for 1 or 2 years with another in our favour" or something similar. Something like this would obviously be highly advantageous to the club and not the player, I reckon if we started laying down these terms as often as people propose we would miss out on quite a few signatures.
