*Official* Justin Hunt and Jordan Rankin sign

I like these mature age signings. I think it is increasingly difficult for players to make the transition from underage competitions to the nrl. At least these guys have made a real commitment to forging a career in nrl. They may not be world beaters but if they can do a job at nrl standard that would be an improvement on what we had to make do with this year.

I think we are pretty light on for outside backs next season with Richards and Moltzen both gone, plus we saw this year that Milone and Hoeter don't offer a great deal of anything, so I don't mind these signings.

I'm with you Willow.

We need forwards but we also need backs and halves that will mount pressure on the NRL team or at the very least be able to cover if injuries occur.

Compared to what we have bought previously I think considering these are depth/cup signings that the signings have been an improvement on other years.

Good depth signings for what pastey Taylor showed this year when brooks and Moses had a few bad games he didn't drop them so these lads will be reserve gr only

i dont rate either of these blokes, who the hell is signing these plodders. did watch rankin play last week and he played o.k, but there not what we need. where is the 2 big backrowers and a good prop, JT u have rocks in ur head.

I think they're good signings at the right price. Haven't seen much of either of them but hopefully at the very least they'll be adequate back ups.

If Farah does leave maybe then we can look at buying a a few quality forwards and centres - if there's anyone still available for next year

Not sure where we get the money when we have to pay him out 2+ mill which is part of our cap.

Rankin could be the surprise packet,he has speed and looks like he can play out wide….

He has been playing fullback and goal kicker at Hull

So you were happy with Milone and Hoeter as soon as we had a single backline injury? And with Richards gone now and Lawrence 100% to second row…?

ur puting words in my mouth, no milone and hoeter are not NRL or NSW cup grade, but hunt and rankin are not much better, would rather 1 player about 60% on them 2.

We need quantity as well as quality - our NSW Cup squad is pretty thin as it is, and there'll no doubt be a bit of turnover there as well.
Signing these guys is not having any impact on us getting some forwards for the first grade team.

I am confident that a couple of competent forwards will be signed soon.

We need depth signings for the halves, good move.

Stupid move for mine by the club. We had a young #6 coming through in TeMartin that has bucket loads of skill and vision (something you can't teach) and we don't take an $85,000 option on him and have vastly less skilful players like Drinkwater, Hunt , rakin etc… as back up halves. Bet they cost more than the $85,000\. Our club board and retention committee are idiots!!!!!!!!

TeMaire Martn was released as we need to do whats good for the game. NRL directors run us no point having a gun backup junior get him to another club.

Still a young player could have stayed another year at the Tigers, if any injury occurred he probably would have got a start and probably kept a spot. he is no certain starter next year at Penrith. Could understand if he left us to go to a Roosters, Dogs, Broncos, Storm, Manly etc… but it is not as if he is going to a powerhouse club.

Unfortunately culture is not the only ingredient in a successful team..

At this rate JT will be the coach of the Tigers for the next ten years.. He has the excuses to back his lack of innovation skills. Blame the salary cap, previous coach, previous board, Robbie F, young team, no forwards.. But…..

Oh Waite I forgot in 2015 we let in less points than 2014, and less points than in 2005.

In 2005 we let in more points than 2015 and win the comp.
In 2015 we let in less points than 2005 and we came 15th

Blinkers anyone?
