Did anyone think maybe Ava is out for punching a former club legend? That gets you an automatic week suspension

Yeah for doing a half hearted punch.

To be fair it's probably the most aggression a WT Player has ever shown lol

Mcliwrick, Aloiai and Edwards were belting blokes left and right. I thought it was one of our most aggressive performances in years.

Yeah true I hope we can keep the MAC truck he's a gun

Surely Lovett will drop out with Eisenhuth coming in to make his debut.

I would like to see that too…but Lovett is a better defender than Matt and has been among the best in ISP the last few weeks...so gets his chance...

Rankin over Littlejohn for goal kicking makes sense...if we can score TRIES I guess..

Okay fair enough if Lovett has earned his spot but it would be great to see a few of these young blokes get a shot in the top grade.

I also don't think goal kicking will be much of a concern for this one, we'll need to play out of our skin tonight

Found this post on Facebook…some positive news regarding Elijah Taylor also -

The team had a function on tonight in Brisbane at the Sofitel. Proud to say they're all really good guys and happy to say hi to everyone.

Bit of info for everyone:

- Jordan Rankin is in tomorrow night! He'll be kicking and will slot into 5/8.
- Ava wasn't chosen this week due to displinary reasons after the Robbie incident last game. Ivan said he didn't think it was setting the right club culture to see that as acceptable behaviour on field.
- Elijah Taylor isn't going anywhere! 😊 Said his Mum rang him from New Zealand crying after reading an article that he was leaving. That was the first he'd heard of it and there is zero truth to it. He said he hopes the club wants him next year as the contract is in clubs favour rather than his. He reckons he's got 4-5 years of footy left in him then would like to go into real-estate.

I am sorry, I just can't get my head around the Ava thing. He was sticking up for his mate, most teams enjoy playing us as they can roll right through us with their aggression. I know he was off for 10 minutes, but get your finger out of your bums and tackle your ass off for 10 minutes and try and control possession better. So now we have to play the most aggressive forward pack in the comp without one of our most consistent players. Political correctness doesn't feed the results sheet. Yes, I know, I'm a dinosaur …

I like upsets and I feel if we run into them with aggression and hit hard right from the start we are in with a chance , we have beaten some good teams this year so and maybe the Broncos will not expect to much from us
Tigers by 4
Why not

I like the idea of Rankin coming into the team as the no6, he has been the standout in a pretty average reserve grade side. Sadly I think they will really struggle matching the Bronks, but as long as everyone has a red hot go I don't really care. Having Woods back will help and Teddy could not play as bad as last week

It's reported that Lovett will start in the second row with Lawrence and JJ Felise dropping out of the squad

When will JJ ask for a release? We are a front rower short again. Not convinced that either Aloiai or Eisenhuth can cover that position

Who knows. We seem to be the only club where players, if not picked in firsts well before they are ready, seek a release. Or so our fans seem to suggest every week.

Let JJ develop his game. He will be selected when the club considers him ready. He is not exactly killing it in ISP.

I suspect he will be an important part of our prop rotation next year.

Maybe Lovett got picked after the weekend incident. Coaching staff impressed by his ability to act as Brooks bodyguard

Say what you want about Lovett, he'll give 100%. I'd rather a fringe first grader there who'll give his all above a peckerhead like Moses or Tedesco who aren't interested.

The weather forecast for Brisbane today is very high (95%) chance of rain periods with rainfall: 35 to 60 mm. The chance of a thunderstorm. Possible locally heavy falls. I think that this weather could well play into Wests Tigers favour.

The ball is now in Lovett and Edwards court to prove to Ivan that they should be considered for a place on the bus in 2018\. Whilst not a huge fan of Lovett's I do concede he always put in a 100% effort reflective of his ability. I can't say the same about Moses or at times Teddy.

Ava appears to have paid a high price for his hit or near hit on Farah. We need some one with aggression.

I hope Chee-Kam takes his reinstatement with two hands as he was poor last week.

Still would like to have J J Feilse on the bench as we appear to be light bench.

I'm in Brissie. Rained all night and pretty much light rain/drizzle all day so far. Meant to pick up again into the afternoon/early evening (i.e. game time). I think that gives us at least a fighting chance of being competitive. The tragic optimist in me says it'll be the upset of the round/year.

Oh to have Tim Sim and Rowdy tonight, always saved their best for the wet weather.
Not excited at all, but I'll tune in and ride the roller-coaster (maybe more a waterslide) anyways.
