Sue and Buchanan are out. Nofo and Kev in doubt.
This could get ugly.

Did someone ask if it could get any worse or something? Somebody flick Gus a carton & lets get ET over for tomorrow.

Hope Edwards & MCK have a blinder!

Could be a blessing these two getting a chance.

I would have dragged him into a room and showed him the video of his half hearted chase when Newcastle made their break and told him he would never play first grade again

Not just that, but the final dropped pass. Less about the fact that he dropped it, more about his reaction.

I believe you can tell a lot about a footballer's attitude and concentration by their on-field reactions. It's too tough and energetic a game for most players to maintain an ice-cool demeanour for 80 minutes.

Blake Ayshford has the look of a zombie no matter what he is doing, and it becomes evident in the 1%ers where he looks at loose footballs rather than diving on them, gives up when beaten for pace, doesn't look too concerned when the club concedes a try.

Old Brett Seymour had that classic cover chase of Benji in 2005 playing for Brisbane, where he gives up without even a dive even though he has made it within a tight body length.

This is the body language of losers.

This is the body language of Nathan Milone. In the way he gives up, appears unsurprised by the mistakes he makes. He dropped that last pass and just looked tired, looked like he had given up.

I'll go another step with this

Remember as a kid what we were taught

If a break occurs you turn and chase to get back in the line for the next play

Never turn your back

Always give 100% no matter the scoreline , fight it out to the end

When I see our supposedly professional footballers even fail with these simple parts of the game I just get so angry

If I was coach , I would make these guys look like idiots in a video session whenever this happens

Amatuer hour in my opinion at its worse

Thats how we as fans have to approach this to keep our sanity. Its an opportunity hopefulky for MCK, Edwards amd Addo Carr to prove they should be in the team. Wouldnt it be great if all 3 play and go great, meaning the return of Nofo, Kev and Sue spells the end of Rankin on the wing, Lovett in the forwards. Would love to see Edwards in particular put his hand up and demand a spot in the backrow even with Elijah Taylor and Sue coming back in.

Absolutely. I think Edwards and Taylor are two of our better back rowers so these two added to the mix can only spur on the incumbents. At worse this means competition for spots.

There's an old saying, "play the way you train"

I guarantee if you we're to head down and watch the boys at training it'd be all shiss & giggles.
Everyone social media photo I have ever seen of a training session has the boys smiling & carrying on.

If the attitude is poor at training it's going to reflect on game day.

Players need to be held accountable. If a player is underperforming the coaching staff & selection committee need to make an example of them, regardless of their status.

Until this happens the playing group will continue to go through the motions.

Just saw Addo Carr walking into the ground and up into the changerooms.

Although in saying that the only other players I've seen around so far are Buchanan, Ballin, and Woods.

Are you sure? I thought the selection committee could be O'Neill, Robbie and a couple of player managers.

Time to take the tin foil off and see the truth, Harvey.
Taylor is responsible for picking the team and getting results - and the board has said on many occasions he has their full support to do as he chooses.
I am no JT supporter but you would wonder why, when faced with getting the sack (which will happen if we keep losing games), he keeps picking players that don't do their job.
He needs to do SOMETHING - we lose this week and the phones will be running hot to people looking to replace him.

Careful some people will do anything to shift blame from JT…...

He has got the coaches we wanted and gets to pick the 17 each week.

He is digging his own grave at the selection table.

Fans would get behind him more if he backed up the tough talk and dropped a number of under performing players.

I have to say I agree with this somewhat. How long do you persist with players that simply don't have it, or are not living up to their promise?

Hard to disagree… Though I do not see very many unconditional JT supporters... If any.

At least he is keen.

congratulations Joel Edwards, Joshua Ado Carr and JJ Felise for making debuts/club debuts.
#191, #192, #193.

MCK must be devastated. i'd be looking at other clubs if i were him.

Surely there must be something wrong with Michael Chee Kam? Attitude or what? He's been to 2-3 clubs since playing U20s for Canberra and has played like…no games, despite being a genuine star at juniors.

One of my favourite players to watch few years back in that Canberra team, along with Milford, Cornish and Edrick Lee.

Congrats to Addo-Carr and Felise on making their debut. Hope they both go well but I just can't see us getting the bacon today.
