Maybe it’s one of those things that just needs time to absorb. It might as well, it’s set in stone. Everything about it is surreal. Sheens is back, Marshall is going to be a head coach, even though 2 weeks ago he’d never given any indication of having ambitions of being a first grade coach. Doesn’t feel real.

I think the beauty is we will know pretty quickly whether the club’s perception is improved. A few good signings this off season and we’re (finally ) on the up. 🤞

Who gets Sheens current job? Do we reinstate/approach Hartigan who was good with recruiting juniors?
I have so many questions.

I have the same question, but it's hard to say until the club announces roles.

I can see Sheens having the final say on '23 signings, but I think Benji and Noddy will be key with the recruitment and development of juniors next year.

Is the Club going to hold a Press Conference tomorrow to go over structure and answer questions ??? I think its a good idea so it closes it off and we can move our focus onto recruitment.

I really like this and the thinking outside the box..
Benji gets 2 years to learn the role and I love the fact he seems to take the Bennett approach and puts more focus into the players welfare and mind. These days that's the key to getting the best out of players..

I'm all in. This has shown the board and Pascoe are completely competent. We have a coaching great for the next 2 years ably supported by two fantastic ex-players and I assume other competent staff.

Then it's time for Benji to be the mastermind coach and overtake the master (Sheens) via leading the club to a new golden era.

The finances are apparently good and there is a clear delineation between the football operations managed via Sheens, Benji and Robbie compared to running the club from a financial and admin perspective.

Going forward all the noise about Pascoe should be consigned solely to the financial and other administrative tasks they are responsible for.

The board just has to ensure the CEO and footy department are given the right support.

Isn't that professional ?

The proof will be in the pudding but if we stuff our cap up or we recruit the wrong players or we don't perform to me it's clear where the blame should lie.
