I'm now a true James T Fan.

I watched him on Sunday against the Dragons from the game and He was the first one bursting of the line in defense every time in his first stint and then he couldn't sit, prowling like a caged animal when waiting to get back on.

100% Commitment

We knew the effort was there, playing for each other, defending hitting hard and conserving possession. Truely added value having Robbie on the field present. Also what pleased me how Tamou jumping around at FT really put a smile on my face.

He’s just solid...does nothing spectacular or won’t break open a game for you.

Seems real passionate about turning the clubs fortunes around I guess. He was very vocal from the bench and was fist pumping in the air at FT

That is the leadership he was signed for,he was never going to be a major factor as a player for us

At the end of the day he is on 350k for two years. Even if he underperforms to an extent it doesnt hurt like it would Packet who signed for 650-700k a year for 4 years.

Still think he can do better though.

We had no field position when Tamou was on ...we had far better field position with Stef and Mikaele ...the game had turned by then

He's solid. That's it.
You just can't have more than one of him, twal or Seyfarth on at the same time. None of them can break the line, offload. One dimensional players are a thing of the past.

Need to remember that he is not on like 600-700k so need to lower some expectations.
He brings a lot of experience to our young squad and that is invaluable when you are developing these guys. We don't see what's happening off the field but judging by the way the players reacted when he was named captain that is a good sign plus the fact a lot of ex players / commenters state he is great for a team.
He was never brought here to play 60+ mins and make 180m like the big name front rowers in the game making 800k a season..

As someone said in a earlier post our best props are in jersey flegg our future that's why
players like Tamou are important to WT'S to show what it takes to play jn the big league

That cant be said of James Tamou,

He's a player that has done it all in the Game and his performance is what I think is inline with a Forward of his age.

He was relentless in his first stint against the dragons, Sprinting of the line every time.

Above is correct about field position lacking, but last I checked that was the job for the Spine...

Happy with the job he's doing for the coin. He does usually set the line speed at the start of the game, none of our young blokes do? And usually they don't maintain it when he's off the field, one of our biggest issues!

Exactly cause Tamou is useless ..
All he’s doing besides riding the Tour de France and parading the sidelines in dressing gowns is holding back the youth ..
If he was so awesome he’d be still at Penrith but nah ..
Another washed up pensioner amongst our ranks ..

The big mistake that we've made is giving him the captaincy spot. Then you start with the guy. I reckon he is lucky to make our top team and I think it's nuts to have Tamou, Twal and Joe O as our starting middle forwards. You need at least one guy that can actually dent the line himself. Stef, Mikaele or Musgrove need to start and drop Tamou or Twal.

The more I think about it Tamou doesn't deserve a starting spot.

Honestly Seyfarth, Mikaele, Stef, Joe O and Twal area all better than Tamou now. If Musgrove fixes his defense he has to get a spot. That doesn't include Amone or Tuki SImpkins or any other up and coming middle forward.

Tamou is great depth and we didn't overpay. He has also been decent for us. He isn't a bad signing. I'm just not sure he is what we need.
