Oh boy here we go again! - sick of this crap!!!!

I love the way you guys just dismiss stories as rubbish if they don't suit you. Potter has major problems with player communication. Not saying his not a good coach, he may well be but the players haven't warmed to him and that's a problem. We are second last and some of the senior players are playing the worst football of their lives.
People going to work unhappy is not going to be productive…Yeah professional blah blah blah. Still you need to be happy to be at your best.

The management have spoken to the players and just like Sheens found out the players have the power to get rid of the coach.

I'm not sure the senior players are playing so poorly. Robbie and Fults have been consistently good. Blair is much better than last year. Woodsy did enough to make origin. Galloway, can't really say. Even Moltzen looked better this year.

The problem is Benji and Anasta, and I suspect no coach would be getting much from them at the moment. It's true that just about any coach will go under once the team turns against them, but maybe player attitude will pick up in about 6 weeks when all the Benji drama is over.

Really though, a lot of the players Potter gave a chance to this year have succeeded spectacularly. Sheens' buys have all been duds.

Robbie has had a great year, Woodsy has kicked on and we're finally getting some value out of Blair. None of the players that Potter has let go have done anything to prove him wrong.

Yes, his hooking of Farah was off as was playing Tedesco out of position. He also has to take some responsibility for our miserable defense. But he's not getting the sack.

I sure hope Potter doesn't get the sack, it would be a real knee jerk reaction to a rough season, imo. The season we needed to have in order for the club to move forward, if that makes sense. The clean out had to happen and Potter at least had the guts to enact it. I highly doubt whether Barrett or Parish would've handled this season any better or could do any better for us in the future for that matter. Potter must be given more time to continue to rebuild this team - Rome wasn't built in a day as they say. Another change of coach now would put us back to square one all over again - it's a stupid idea.

**''Mick Potter has got a contract for 2014.''**

So does Tim Sheens and look where he is….!

This quote by Mayer doesn't instill any confidence that Potter's job is safe...

Why couldn't Mayer come out with a statement like:

**"Potter's role is also under review for 2014" or
"Potter will definitely be our coach for 2014"**

To come out with such a politically correct statement as he did is unlike Mayer to-date...

Terrible move if they punt Mick...if we are going like busted's next year this time OK...but not now!.

To me. stating that potter has a contract for 2014 was confirming Potter will be here next year.

He has done well this year, really well.

He has ? Coaching a team running close to last can not be considered doing really well in anyone's language. His done OK but needs to improve.

If its true..
What do they want him to do?
He's inherited a pretty average roster. Theres been a fair few injuries throughout the season..
Next season he can be judged and critised a lot more

The reason we lost our last couple of games is because the backline is not functioning and I blame Marshall and last week Anasta for these losses.
We are changing from a side that doesnt follow game plans ( even Sheens had his frustrations) to a side which can and this is not Potter's fault but is something he is no doubt trying to improve.

I would offer Potter a 1 year extension already for the changes he is making,

Yeah Potter is in such big demand from rival clubs we don't want to miss out….lets give him an extension. 😕

So, given you clearly want Potter gone, who do you want to replace him?

This should be good.

Relax. Next year we will all see signs of the tigers we have dreamed of supporting for so long.

Mick Potter is the no nonsense man to do it.

For mine one additional year on the assignment should be offer to him to give the club and its upcoming talent some stability in the post sheens Marshall era.

Our problem is our halves are inept and disinterested.

Case in point Benji has gone to NZ to meet with Rugby officials and wanted to fly straight from there to Gold Coast skipping the captains run on Saturday. Sick and tired of the guy in about every imaginable way

Still Smeg , the club still has final control in that situation

Tell him he misses captains run he's dropped

I understand the club wants itself to be seen in the best light , but seriously if it came out and told the truth of what was really going on I'm sure fans would understand

When the club acts in this way makes me think we may have dumped Benji

And what is this telling every other member of the squad

Wonder what would happen if this was Shaun Spence proposing this idea for example

Not worth the Headache to drop Benji for the final 5 or so games.

We don't need the Press and it wont really make a difference to the success of the season.

I am amazed at the real turn in sentiment towards Benji of late, I like most am not as disappointed as i thought I would be at his leaving especially as he has clocked off in his mind already.

I can't see Potter being booted unless the senior players have an issue with him. He has not done that bad a job, we have blooded a stack of youngsters and we have competed in most games in the past couple of months.

at one stage we could name a starting side with the injuries we had to our top 25\. he has done incredibly well for us to be where we are. throw in the inept five eight and no direction in the halves - he's done as much as he can.
