Ive got new found respect for Lamb after reading that.

The Winfield Cup - great game, close game, but Saints just did enough, eh.
Players from both sides really ran hard and straight.

That game at Lidcombe was my first live game which mum took me to. What an impression what a team minor premiers from no where won every game at home robbed of a premiership. The commitment and will to win was a bit like Melbourne displayed the game after they they had their premierships and minor premierships stripped.
League never reached the same heights again for me.
