what do you think about it?

i thinks its pretty crap because they either have nascar or triathalongs on :frowning:
would be good if they got the riights for Toyota Cup or something

Its crap.

Its owned by ch 10 I think and so all they show is what ch 10 have the rights to (like the AFL, netball, etc), so there arent a lot of sports on there that people like to watch.

It would be nice if they showed (as you said) the toyota cup or some other sports like maybe english championship football (Or even EPL), ESL, some cricket, and some NRL replays.

its pretty much got the crap sports that are on fox and espn, like tonight for example i dont know why they didnt show the aus vs nz netball test match, they have the anz netball regular season on there yet dont show a test match?

i think it will improve alot in the next 18 months but as of now its 90% crap

The network has just started so of course they won't have many of the main sports. In saying that they have baseball, many forms of car racing, swimming, afl, netball, IPL cricket, golf, NFL, College NFL, as well as the lesser kwown sports like triathlons, paintball, bull-riding, poker and surfing.

I like watching some of this stuff that you don't see too much of. Its different.

If the talk about 7 and 9 joining together to get the AFL comes true than 10 and 1 could become the main bidder for league and hence main broadcaster. There is also talk about the A-League coming free-to-aire when the foxtel contract is up and 1 would deffinately be interested.

In all, I can see a day not too far away when the main sports on Foxsports are shown on free-to-air.

One HD has plenty of potential for the future but right now they'll get muscled out by the the bigger players FOX and ESPN when it comes to australian tv rights. I don't have One HD and right now i'll be waiting until it's content improves to be honest. It is however a good alternative to foxtel in terms of sports, just don't expect a lot in the short term.

I really think the NRL needs to get the Toyota Cup and the State Cup on TV. In NSW, ABC show Sydney grade rugby on Saturday afternoons. In QLD, they show a QLD Cup match. Something like this needs to happen in NSW, not just one replay of a state cup game on a Wednesday night.

I applaud Fox for showing two U20s matches live per week, but if the NRL is fair dinkum about making it a national game and promoting the junior grades then more NYC should get on TV i reckon.

Also, I agree a Rugby League panel show would do well. Channel 9 dont even have the rights to the AFL anymore yet they still show 3 AFL panel shows a week - Thursday Night Footy Show, Sunday Footy Show (in AFL states) and on Monday nights they have some other show where they recap the weekend … it's shown at midnight in Sydney, not sure about elsewhere. Channel 10 have a few AFL panel shows too like before the game, fifth quarter etc, pretty sure ONE HD have a program too.

Im sure ONE HD could dig up some former NRL stars/coaches/journos to talk about crap for an hour a week?

One HD is an absolute joke, the previous digital channel they had was better (not that I had access to that one).

There is only one thing on it worth watching and that is the boxing. The problem with that is it is always on at the wrong time, generally too late at night.

Couldn't live without it, as its the only place to get my ANZ Championship Netball fix when the Firebirds aren't playing at home.

It isn't bad. It could obviously be improved by acquring the rights to international cricket or Rugby League.

I think Nine would have been better off starting a sports channel and Ten starting an entertainment one, rather than vice versa. I don't think I've watched 'Go' once. In fact, now that ABC2 is showing The Wire, I've been watching it more than I have either of the new digital channels.

wish 7 would start one so i could hopefully watch some old v8 and super touring events but i love one give sme my fix of NFL, MLB and i get some german Bundesliga

I saw the end of an old Flintstones episode the other night on Go. Wish I had more time to watch…
