One Home Ground

Having a read of the official statement im calling BS.

They listed 3 key issues that relate to things like how much pies cost. :laughing:

Then buried as the 4 issue is this -

— Expanded opportunities for our corporate partners to help drive revenue for the club

Imo they are just having a sook because they cant paint the ground in **their colours** or put up the kind of signage **their sponsors** would be happy with.

The 5th issue was another piece of fluff

-Better technology to enhance game day experience :laughing:

Just send them to Perth already!

Yes - sounds like they want special treatment and not a shared home ground. Cant wait to see how this pans out because they will be playing there.

The colour scheme I can see atm on the exterior is a very neutral Grey/White…may change down the track

Did the eels renovate the leagues club? I know they've built a new car park, not sure about inside if it's been redone..

I'm pretty sure that I read in one of the articles that Pascoe said the colour scheme can be altered depending on whose home game it is. So it can be altered to suit us, the Eels or the Wanderers. How this works though I'm not too sure.

Edit;
Pascoe;
"The new stadium will provide us with the opportunity to theme the venue to give it a real home ground feel which I'm sure our players, Members and supporters will appreciate.''

Nine news saying tonight, Parra may not play at their new stadium.

Since when has it been their stadium?

It is owned by the NSW government and it becomes the code/team stadium for the day of that lease.

Hopefully they just become the Perth Eels and they can take "slimy" with them.

Yeah thats correct fraze, Im aware of that, they will use LED panels, lighting and other gizmos to make it feel like each teams home…but the main external walls is what Im talking about, I guess they have to be a colour of some sort

Hopefully they’ll leave a neutral colour. The stadium is owned and operated by the NSW govt, it’s not owned by the Eels.

Will be interesting when finished. At the moment the exterior is steel girders and the back of the cement elevation.

I’m working there atm, still a lot to do regarding colour schemes, as it’s all pretty much steel and concrete as was said above, however the lcd display in the lifts have a background picture of wanderer supporters on one side and parra supporters on the other… nothing remotely to do with any other team.

Eels do not accept the terms of the deal…interesting.

I wonder if it's the same terms that we got?

Alot of the complaints seem to do with pricing. Might be wise to eat before you go, and plan to have a beverage somewhere else after!

Oh, so in line with virtually every sporting venue everywhere then?

Might be left that neutral colour deliberately so they can beam stuff on the outside too?

Grey& white walls

Oh, a deep grey. Yeah projections won't show up well on that. Maybe it's just a neutrality thing, or they will go over it again?

I'd say that's the finished product with LEDs lighting up the roof in the home teams colours.

All we need to do is get a few blokes with paint brushes and cans of orange paint late one nite…... the greys close ennuf to black
