Question.

Whould u give up Cambo, LO, ANZ Etc for a Bankwest style stadium that settles us once and for all????

not if we share it with a cast of thousands or. its a compromise location (Liverpool)

Where would you want it?

Honestly, Cambo upgrade. someone needs to support the region. I have a Leichhardt membership so would love games there, no better place to watch the game. (would far prefer a Leichhardt up grade, but thats never going to happen)

We will probably end up at the new SFS though and miss out on a stadium.

Liverpool is so far removed from anything we are about, dogs would claim it and we end up another sidelined team again. just like Bankwest (and SFS upgrade)

Liverpool is in one of our catchment areas though. I always thought a move to Campo would eventually happen but I don't know if the support is there, The Magpies have even left the area.

I always thought it was Bulldogs?

It is definitely Bulldogs territory.

Not true

All Saints - Liverpool, ICC - Liverpool, Ingelburn Tigers all part of Wests Tigers Macarthur JRL...

All Saints play and train at the Whitlam centre - the proposed site..

It’s Bulldogs territory

Geo lives out that way that’s all

No I work in Liverpool...

Live in Campbelltown..

I don't mind travelling to whatever ground we play bar Bankwest..

My view is also if you are good enough you win where ever you play..

Storms last year played 1 game at their traditional home ground..this year they back in QLD again and haven't missed a beat..

That's true Geo. Parra also went back to back playing out of belmore in the 80s. But they saw the value in playing mostly at the one venue.

V’landys is a Wanker ..

Liverpool is Tiger territory.

It’s Bulldogs territory. The Bulldogs know it and more importantly the NRL knows it. Liverpool is the Bulldogs takeover v2.0.

Uhh no it isn’t. Where the stadium would be, on the corner of Hoxton Park road and the Hume Highway, that’s in Tiger territory. Dogs territory starts when you go over the bridge on Newbridge road, down towards Mororebank.

Makes no difference, it’s Bulldogs territory. They know it and so does the NRL.

I don’t give a toss what they think they know. Junior teams in Liverpool fall under the Tigers banner. That’s all that matters.

It has nothing todo with juniors, it’s the fans that count. Liverpool will have crickets at home games.

Like Bankwest...?

Declining attendance at BankWest @ Wests Tigers home games. BankWest is getting close.

I say again , what is your solution ?

At this stage it’s SFS. Fairly neutral area. You won’t be bombarded with Roosters stuff like you are with Parra stuff at BankWest, which happens regardless of who we play at BankWest. The Roosters are no threat to the Wests Tigers in regards to possible merger/takeover, unlike the Bulldogs and Liverpool. SFS has good easy to access central transport with parking at Moore Park when needed. Close to great food and drink. Closer to Headquarters (Wests Ashfield) and COE (Concord). Easy to get to from for out of towners as well via the Airport or Central Station if they want to attend with great accommodation nearby.

A revamped ANZ would have been ideal but that’s not going to happen for the foreseeable future. Can’t see CSS being redeveloped either. So SFS it is.

I think a good case can be made for any of the stadia. Giving up the suburbans is what the club is struggling with I reckon.

I have to admit I'm not a big fan of Liverpool. Saying Liverpool includes Tigers territory is a technicality for mine, like saying Claymore is Magpies territory or Carlingford is Balmain territory; all of which are all true, but not a business case for building a home ground there.

The Junior districts are not necessarily a good measurement of supporter base, they are just the way the clubs chopped up the geography in the old days when you had to be a local resident to play for the club. Which was fine when it was Balmain, Wests, Easts, Norths, Souths, but started to get more complicated when they needed to define the geographies of the later additions like Canterbury, St George, Parramatta.

So for example, Carlingford (Balmain junior district) is 5 km (crow flies) from Parramatta Stadium, 12 km from Concord Oval and 14.5 km from Leichhardt Oval. In my area, the St George Dragons Junior Football Club are headquartered in North Kingsgrove and play in the Canterbury Juniors, 2 km from Belmore Oval. But the Earlwood Saints, who are NE of Kingsgrove, play in the St George District.

Liverpool itself is 18 km from Campelltown and 15 km from Parramatta. And I would be shocked if you surveyed the suburbs around Liverpool - Casula, Chipping Norton, East Hills, Milperra, Moorebank, Cabramatta - and found more Tigers supporters than Bulldogs.

I honestly haven't intentionally been to Liverpool in probably a decade, but it was an absolute hole last time I was there, like I was shocked that it was part of Sydney. It may have changed vastly and the building of a stadium may help even further.

But given a choice I'd rather have a neutral venue refurbished at Homebush or just go to the SFS. That's the problem with Sydney, your guts tell you when you are in enemy territory and that is why I can never get comfortable having a home ground at Parramatta Stadium. And I don't think it would change for Liverpool, especially as a shared venue.

And I don't mean stuff like Bulldogs takeover, I just mean I find it hard to picture traveling to Liverpool and thinking that it was a strong neutral home venue. For what you might say about the existing home grounds, at least Campbo and Leichhardt clearly don't belong to anyone else. Is it better to have a single home ground if it is on the absolute periphery of our territory and next to someone else's heartland?

Isn't there enough land still at Homebush to build a new Bankwest and do a little refurb of ANZ to keep it modernised? I know that is what the club were originally hoping for when the govt first announced potential stadium funding.

Why would you spend 30 million+ on a stadium in Liverpool when you have BankWest. Upgrade our local home grounds, they foster tribal fans who are passionate about their team and ultimately develop the next generation of juniors.

If we play all our home games at liverpool I'm in... why would Campbelltown get a revamp? We play 3 games there a year. Only reason it might get done up is because of MacArthur bulls.

It is not in our area, we would likely be sharing with 2 other teams and it makes no sense. People complain about a lack of identity but then want to be a team called Wests playing in the Eastern Suburbs.
