One of the best wins in 11 seasons

All things considered for the lead up to this game, nobody giving us a hope, the heartache of last week, injury concerns and the tough road trip to play a red hot Canberra side away, that win is probably in the top 5 we've had as a club. I've never been prouder of the team (even during the 2005 season).

I had a Raiders mate saying they should not bother playing this week. All the time I was quietly confident. A great win. Lots of heart.

Its a special win, against the odds, short turn atround, injuries, road trip away, and after last week heartbreaker…you could see the way the boys were celebrating, Sheens smiling...its a rollercoaster

Well Im off to the emergency ward , I just used up all my heart & blood pressure pills 😱pen_mouth:

Usually you only need at prescription for 24 games but this year you need to get a few extras!

Like the week before they should have won by miles, the raiders were average, yet we gifted them into the match. Really we should have won by 20\. We carry some very average footballers among a few champions. We have the attack to beat any team in the comp, but our defense tonight was as poor as round one. St merge will smash us on tonights effort, but at least we are their and within a chance.

I disagree about the Dragons smashing us….

This is a whole new ballgame....

I rate the win up there in the context of turning a corner....They could have turned it up and folded...but they aimed up despite the week that was...

As long as our right hand side defence do their job, we will beat the Dragons. Gasnier up against Lui and Lawrence is a scary thaught, but i`m expecting Lawrence to be much better for the run.

Who brought kill joy!!!!!!!

one of the most satisfying wins i've watched.
to see the eels and bunnies not make the 8 felt great.
but to now kill the raiders dreams feels even better.

and well done to tim sheens and the entire staff.

Raiders average?

If you look at the stats, the Raiders missed only 20 odd tackles, we more then doubled their missed tackles with nearly 50 and the Raiders had 53% of the ball, they also had more territory as well.

I think you're being very harsh on the Tigers there.

And now we just need to kill the Dragons hopes…. Again :stuck_out_tongue:

Agree with thread title. Our backs were well and truly against the wall. This was huge. Now we have a chance to repeat history. Next weekend will be massive! Tigerrrrrrsssss!

Try living in Canberra, all week all I've been hearing that the raiders will put 30 on us by the guys at work. I kept composed, told them to beware the wounded tiger, they laughed.

I don't think I've looked so forward to going back to work in ages. Time for payback.
